This is probably why OU never offered him.

If so, that is an incredibly stupid reason not to offer him.

Because he wasn't in school when his mother was nearly on her death bed? Great logic.

He isn't special because he is going to Alabama. Oklahoma has been penalizing kids like this for years.

Not really, the kid has changed high schools like three times and now might be ruled ineligible for a year, putting him farther behind. Although he may have the talent to make up for it. We'll see.
That, along with the fact that OU landed the first QB it offered is why we didn't offer Cornwell. But best of luck to him.

This has nothing to do with his ability to graduate and enroll somewhere. This is age requirement. Because he was out of school for a year, he will be 19 this fall.

What does being ineligible in HS have anything to do with college?

Nothing.

He spent a year taking care of his ill mother. Not only does he have talent, but heart as well, he would not fit in in OU.

We actually put teams around our QB's.

Anyone excited about Ricky Town yet?

Easy young Padawan. Let's lock up a 2014 QB first.

Ok, but we have got to call him Ricky T-Town.

And every time we win a title he changes his number from 16 to 17 to 18 and so fourth.

He will be a senior in High School next year whether he is playing or not. What I'm trying to say, is that if he is forced to take a year off on the field, it may hurt him when he gets to college due to rust or what have you.

Nice troll. OU has two heisman winning QB's in the last decade.

FTR (and you claiming to be an OU fan shocks me that you don't know this) OU didn't offer Cornwell because thay already knew they had to offer the kid they did (who committed) even if he was a 2* to keep boosters/alumni happy since the kid was a legacy

Stoops has gotten extremely lazy the last 5 yrs in recruiting (reminds me a bit of Tubby before he left AU where he clearly has little desire to be there)

That is why OU never offered, the kid is obviously a phenomenal talent and the best QB to come out of Ok in a while

I hope the OSSAA or whoever doesn't screw him out of his Sr year though that would suck
