Majority of the CB's are pointing him to LSU. He lives 30 miles from the Louisiana boarder. He would be a hell of a get!

I wish he was. He plays for my high school.

I just think this thread would be more appropriate on the LSURb.

Could be but this is a SEC Recruiting board, right? I guess the OP could have stated his response better. I think it is a OL3 MIS5 and LSU battle and the way things are going over there, I like our chances here.

I think Alabama could get back into it for him (he was committed to us for 4 months) if Najee Harris decides to flip to Michigan. Our mods are confident Harris sticks, but "insiders" aren't so sure.

He will be a tough pull out of Mississippi but if he leaves it'll be to attend LSU

They are too worried about keeping the second best RB, Harris.

I know you meant this to be a troll, but I actually think Akers is a better pure RB than Harris and have made that known on our board.

I may be biased seeing as he plays for my alma mater though.

I was being serious, and I imagine that you must have received some flack on the Bama board for suggesting that Akers might be better.

Well, he was committed to Alabama at one point. Not a huge leap to think he could sign with Alabama, if Najee Harris was to flip to Michigan or USC.

Harris really should move to LB. He's got the build and athleticism to be a perfect LB, ILB or OLB. He'd be like a longer, more freakish Jaylin Smith.

Nobody has a clue where Akers will end up. He's gonna need a year before he's ready at RB if he's in the SEC.
