Kinda hard to judge based on that tape since those look like a bunch of small, weak, slow white kids. He moves pretty well for a big guy though. Should be a solid RT or guard for us.

At 6'6" and 350+ lbs, unless he needs a lot of work with weights, NT???

If he can qualify, he'll be developed to take over for D.J. Fluker.

We already have a couple of NT's in this class, though.

Alphonse Taylor, who is already enrolled, told reporters today that he is 360 but wants to be 340.

Darren Lake is a slim 313.

I think Shep has that covered.

He's like a white Fluker who is more polished, but less athletic...

Austin Sheppard will also be a redshirt sophomore this fall. If development goes as planned, Sheppard would start in 2014. Hill would start in 2015 and 2016. This is assuming that Fluker comes back for a senior season in 2013.

Taylor said today he was going to be a nose guard.

When they asked him about Cochran's first workout, he said "Honestly, I almost died"

possibly...

1. Competition in his division is terrible.
Harding Academy, First Assembly, Rossville, Fayette Academy... None could stand toe to toe with the larger Memphis private schools like ECS, Christian Brothers, and Briarcrest.

2. He is legit

3. He needs to work on center of gravity and tends to block high at times , but that might have more to do with the height of his competition.

4. Also has trouble with the more Athletic DLinemen that are more physical. He didn't see many last year though. Run blocking is superb, but it will be interesting to see him against SEC talent.

Bottom line is it will be like any other Big recruit that plays at a small private school.. You have to wait and see if they can hold their own against guys that are their equal.

5. IDK about grades.

Since the two are not likely to ever go head-to-head, maybe you should compare McCullers to another Memphis area product. How about Barrett Jones?

For being 6-6 345 pounds, D.J. Fluker is incredibly athletic.

He was running around in circles on a couple of those looking for someone to fall on. Nose would probably be ideal for him.
