Bama will get 1 or 2 big time players from LA each year, no big deal you cant get everyone. Also just because you get someone from another state doesn't mean you pulled a fast one on the top school there. You don't no how the players fit in certain schemes, LSU gets players from Bama, Texas, Mississippi, Florida and other places.

Yep. I think he got an interception the other day, too.

Bert doesn't seem to care about recruiting Texas.

Just like Bama never loses out on a recruit they "really" wanted...

We have gotten more players from Florida than Texas so far under him but Zach Rogers was a big get. We hired Clay Jennings to try to increase our Texas presence.

Not in-state talent that Kevin Sumlin is interested in, agreed.

It's dumb to believe LSU will keep all of the instate talent, not possible.

@Dedsports: Coach B: Lauds freshman CB Henri'' Toliver. Said he might send 10 coaches to Louisiana to recruit - LA kids play football the right way.

If he didn't already know to recruit the US 59 and I 10 corridors that is pretty bad.

How often has any Wisconsin coach recruited in the state of Louisiana? Serious question.

It's completely new territory to him. This was his first real class at Arkansas and he signed four from there. We've actually hit the state harder under him than we ever did under Nutt or Petrino.

No doubt.

Petrino sent his worst recruiters to South Louisiana and DFW. His best to Oklahoma and Arizona.

Would be shocked if he's even allowed on certain campuses to recruit after the stunts the last few years.

I think Jared Cornelius is going to be great. Glad we were able to get him.

I know this is an old topic/post but I believe Jared will be huge for the hogs.
