Who gave you an extended stay to this resort? I was going to ask what school I needed to offend today but it is already obvious. It is the school who has the Western Sizzlin mascot, claims to have some rich history in every sport but doesnt win anything important, and they think it is cool to have their own network which nobody watches unless they are drunk or looking for a Flirty Girl ads late night.

A&M is really the same old Aggie from the old days. The exception is that they get on CBS instead of Raycom.

14 years is a short period of time?

I guess it depends on who you are. We won a National Championship, played in another one, won 3 BCS bowls, won division titles, and became the most powerful college sports program in America.

But I guess you don't remember that.

Listening to an SMU guy talk about football is like listening to a virgin talk about sex. "They are like bags of sand."

Please excuse yourself. While I appreciate having a place to crash every year after the Red River Rivalry game, I will stick to seeking your advice when deciding which loafers go best with my blazer.

You really are an arrogant idiot aren't you? I know more about NCAA than you ever had a wet dream about.

If you want to talk intelligent about Texas where do we start?

Royal? Akers? McWilliams? Mac? Brown? Strong?

What QB do we talk about? Gardere? Little? Applewhite? Young? Brown?

Basketball? BMW? Abe? KD? Wacker?

Baseball?

When do you want to have this intelligent conversation?

Powerful as in shape your conference as you see fit?

Nope, all programs with an option left your conference and no one good is knocking on the door.

Powerful as in force your network on cable nationwide?

Nope, the only reason it gets as much distribution as it does (which is minimal) is because Texas had to shift a whole three games to the network.

Powerful as in always be able to always out-recruit other teams in your state?

Nope, that fell through last year.

Powerful as in having the best facilities in the state?

Nope, we are about to blow past you and the space restrictions in Austin will never let you catch up.

Powerful as in always having the most money?

Nope, A&M raised more last year.

Powerful as in most watched team?

No, even old A&M had more viewers and exposure last year.

So what is the basis of this power if we might ask?

Honestly sms I appreciate the sentiment. I hope every A&M hater on the planet agrees with you so we get that much more shock value out of the success we will have in a post-JFF era. Aggies always do better when the expectations on us are lower.

That is as close to a large dose of aggy delusion that you will get from me, I suggest focusing on all these other tasty targets if you need another delusion fix.

Those are based off of the 2012-2013 academic year, moron. Not calendar year 2013. If A&M was 14th that year, I'm pretty sure they'll be higher when the 2013-2014 numbers come out.

I was being honest. You know my distaste for aTm, but I usually will give them credit when things are done right. I think the ceiling is higher for aTm than UT or Baylor. But until they improve with a few division or conference championships the SWC crowd will still think of them as SOA.

if what we did in the SWC was just same old aggy, then I don't know what we are calling what everyone else did outside of Texas

From your own link:

quote:

College Football's Most Valuable Teams 2013:

Valuable =/ Powerful

Powerful is when you can force a Mizzou to the SEC East even though it doesn't make geographic sense just to preserve a single game you like.

Powerful is when you can have the capacity to bring in two shitty teams and STILL build your brand by parading across the east coast ala tOSU and Michigan.

Powerful is being able to go to the ACC and say "you get five games, but we aren't going to kiss when we frick" ala Notre Dame.

Powerful is not getting told "we don't want you or your stinking network" by the PAC. Powerful is not losing so many AAU members in your conference that academically it is now worse than the SEC you once made fun of.

I can help you look up a dictionary definition on these terms powerful and valuable if you need help.

Which is completely cool. It shows you have an open mind, even if you are skeptical.

You call yourself an A&M hater, but just the fact you feel we HAVE a high ceiling shows your true colors. You are one move (dropping the hitler youth thing) away from being a borderline A&M fan given the standards of our state.

For the real aggy haters our ceiling was supposed to drop when we moved to the SEC, from middle of the Big 12 to the bottom. Heck I still see some Texas fans say they expect us to come crawling back to the Big 12 at some point when we "realize the errors of our ways."

Lets not kid ourselves. Texas could join any conference they wanted tomorrow.
