I will not wear one of those things. I feel like I would lose part of my soul by doing that

Congrats to your brother. You should come up to see him play as often as possible. I bet WMR will put you up in his place.

Add 3 more Ks to his numbers in an inning at the Ballpark in Arlington

I am curious as to what other offers your brother had before signing with Arkansas?

Offers from Navy, Texas State, Oklahoma State. Pitching
coach change at LSU messed up their recruiting with him. He had an elbow injury his junior year so lost a lot of interest. Had a strong summer league with a good performance at the Connie Mack world series. Went to Perfect Game in Florida, had a great outing and couldn't stay off the phone

Probably would have gotten a lot more if he hadn't signed in the early signing period but was dead set on Arkansas

If he were my brother, I'd hope he did well...but I'd pull for LSU everytime when they play. Just the way it is.

In the cold drizzling weather in Round Rock, another update:

against Coppell:

ND, 5 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 7 Ks, 1 BB

Stats for the total season are updated in the first post.

Also, wanted to thank all the Arky support so far in this thread. Makes me feel better about him going to Arkansas and pulling for the baseball team

Ain't that the truth. It just kind of creeps up on you. I remember fighting it as a kid when growing up in NWA thinking it was stupid but about two games into my freshman year there I was hammered in the student section calling the hogs non-stop.

I was the same way at A&M with those damn yells. I thought they were stupid at first (still kind of do), but once that tailgating (they surprisingly call it that there but it's not) got into my system, I was up there doing them.

So, yes, I probably will start doing that at some point...I mean, no, I would never do that *looks for Memphis and cowers in fear*

Also, one more update, in their district opener against Plano East:

W, 6 IP, 0 ER, 5 H, 7 Ks, 2 BBs

Has only given up 2 unearned runs (first game of the season) over the year so far

I'd be thrilled if one of my sons were to play big time D1 ball. And I'd learn to support his chosen team.

Family is family. Bottom line

I've already told him I will cheer for the baseball team no doubt, but you couldn't pay me enough to cheer for Petrinom well you could but you would have to be OT baller status to get there

Congrats to your bro! Is that high enough to consider going pro? I don't follow the baseball draft but know we have a couple signees every year that go pro.
