Well, if they're not putting out the talent to be on our roster it's not a big loss.

Okay. But, things run in cycles. Fact remains that it's a AAAAAA school in our state, basically our backyard, that we'd like to have a good relationship when the time comes. Micky Conn isn't our friend.

After the Coach Fran era A&M had a bad rep with a lot of the power programs in Texas. Two that immediately jump to mind are Lufkin and Skyline. Sherman did a great job repairing many of the relationships though and I don't think that there is a single HS program in the state that will put off Sumlin.

Arkansas doesn't put out enough BCS prospects to figure out if there is even a school that is anti-Arkansas.

Under Saban, probably with tremendous help from Jimbo, LSU had good success in Mobile.

Separate schools. Little Rock Christian (Dyer & Moseley), Shiloh Christian (Frazier), Fort Smith Northside (Burns) and Rogers (Ziemba).

Out of those schools, Shiloh is the only one that has had a kid go to a BCS school since then. That kid went to Kansas St and wasn't even recruited by Arkansas.

Well, I'm sure you know he went to Bama and his best bud is Dabo so he's not going to be doing us any favors any time soon.

Madison Central at times seems like an anti-MSU school.

You are just getting our recruited. No one at MC is pointing people to OM. There I probably more State fans than OM fans in the student body.

It's been that way for a while , CBJ making a strong push to gain Memphis back. It's going to take time though, considering how hard the South/ Mid West/ Northern Schools all come in to recruit the area.

Would prefer more recruits out of GA and FL, but it'd be nice to lock down the city of Memphis

More MC athletes have gone to State under Bobby than they ever did under Justice. I know that until Germantown opened the lady in the office that talked to all the coaches was a State fan and Grad who would have done something is Bobby or Justice were doing something under the table.

Craig (MT Blount alum) should change that.

He'll be going head-to-head with Lance Thompson in south Alabama. Let the greasiest SOB win.

The coach at Lowndes in Valdosta is a huge FSU homer. It's been a struggle to get players from there to UGA

I graduated from Lowndes in the early 80's and can remember at least three guys I knew going to FSU. So this goes back before the current coach.

One problem in Georgia is a lot of highschools are on state boarders and actualy closer to out of state top notch football colleges. Kids have other friends going to college there and easy for family to drive to and watch games.

Alabama has always owned the Mobile area, but during the cluster-frick years of Fran/Price/Shula, AU had a field day.
