A lot turned over the summer with camps and the hiring of Chad Bumphis as WR coach.

Chad B was at Utah as a WR coach when he was hired by the new offensive staff. He is a State alum from Tupelo, MS and seems to be a player and parent favorite.

I am thinking State will have improved WR recruiting as long as this guy stays. It has rare for State to get the best WR in the State and they just got the best two this year.

One more thing, these guys are hinting that others may be on the way as well. Sounds good to me.

A big reason he is such a player and parent favorite is a little over 10 years ago he was in their shoes.

He isn’t just an alumni, he was a 4-star and top player in the state of Mississippi so he can sell the 4-star to Mississippi state story from personal experience. He also had a great career at State.

So because he went through what all the current kids are going through they really seem to connect with him and put value in what he says.

He is still keeping his OV to Arkansas. Hopefully, this one isn’t done just yet
