Alabama Defense & Offense

Hopefully some of those 4 and 5 star players riding the pine will be able to step in and help.

Defense will take a step back. We're losing a ton there.

Don't know where you got that OLine number from. We only lose one (two if you count Taylor who has split time with Cotton) and Howard at TE. With Hurts hopefully taking the typical FR to SO leap our offense could be damn near unstoppable. We'll need it while our defense jells.

Defense will look something like:

DE- Dashawn Hand (5*)
DT- Daron Payne (5*)
DE- Terrell Hall (5*)

OLB- Christian Miller (4*)
ILB- Shaun Dion Hamilton (4*)
ILB- Rashaan Evans (5*)
OLB- Anfernee Jennings (3*)

SS- Hootie Jones (4*)
FS- Ronnie Harrison (4*)
CB- Anthony Averett (4*)
CB- Minkah Fitzpatrick (5*)
CB- Tony Brown (5*)


"Starter" is really a loose term at Alabama due to how often they rotate and the subpackages they use. Other guys that could start but will play a ton...Mack Wilson, Ben Davis, Shy Carter, Josh Frazier, Deionte Thompson. I expect a few of the freshmen to contribute as well. Dylan Moses and Jhavonte Dean could get on the field early. I've gotten past the point of worrying about replacing guys

At least come prepared. Alabama returns three starters on the OL in 2017. And a fourth, Lester Cotton, has split the starts with Alphonse Taylor. So essentially four starters back.
