LSU’s recruiting momentum has continued with arguably the biggest flip to date. AJ Carter, the state’s top running back who earned an offer from Ed Orgeron during the elite high school camp this week, flipped from UCLA to LSU. Carter, a 3-star running back from Many (La.) High School, is the third running back to commit to LSU in the past week. He joins 3-star Florida tailback Chris Curry and 3-star Alabama athlete Tae Provens in the Tigers’ 2018 recruiting class, which entered the day ranked No. 3 in the country and the best group in the SEC. The 6-foot-1, 225-pounder from North Louisiana clocked a 4.6-second 40 time at LSU’s elite camp on Friday before landing the offer. After camping during the morning session, Orgeron ate lunch with Carter and his head football coach and toured through campus. LSU’s head coach even handed over the keys to Tiger Stadium while meeting with the highly sought-after tailback. Carter, who committed to UCLA earlier in the spring, becomes the No. 22 member of LSU’s 2018 recruiting class.

Joiner made a comment recently that he would be open to another position. I truly think he is a Alabama lock.

As of Friday he said Alabama was running 4th behind LSU, Georgia and Auburn.

It's too bad he doesn't see this.

As I posted on our board this weekend, he is going to recruit himself out of the SEC with his hard line stance of playing RB in college.

Kid isn't physical enough to play LB IMO.

Seems to be a trend with Mountain Brook players

I think UGA is team to watch now. Question is would they take him in August or wait and see if can flip James Cook? Crazy the way his recruitment has gone

I don't think Joiner would sign with Georgia seeing as they're landing Zamir White tomorrow.

As I said above, he's recruiting himself out of the SEC with his insistence on playing RB.

Did you request access to our board?

Geez, how many is LSU looking to take in this recruiting cycle? 22 commits already? Holy crap. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing to be filling up the class so quickly before the elite prospects have even taken their first visits.

True I honestly don't know where he lands at this point

Joiner has moved on long before. We get valentine and bolden and it's over for backs and slot type

Bolden is seen as a slot guy here, so is Provens (ATH, but more slot)

I dont think we get all 5 of those together. I think Bolden goes to TCU

That's interesting because he said point blank he's coming to LSU to play running back. His problem with AU & Tennessee is we were recruiting him as an athlete. AU wanted to switch him to DB

Yeah bolden is down to tcu and LSU. Race is almost over for him and after a great LSU visit we're the leader but not by much. And yes we will take current ones and Valentine if interested

He'll get his shot there, but keep in mind when I say slot guy, Canada uses that end around/jet sweep type of play A LOT. The guy at Pitt last season had 60 carries from that position, so it's used a lot in the running game.
