That’s the most accurate assessment I’ve heard of Evan Stewart. The kid is toxic. In his short time at A&M he has been suspended for breaking team rules, has dogged in during games and the season. “Cancerous one year rental” is the most perfect description of his future collegiate career.

The frustrating thing about Stewart is that he has not been as flagrantly self-destructive as the Chris Marshall and Denver Harris types. He was always walking really close the line but never did cross it and would make enough decent plays to think he might fulfill his promise at some point.

His unwillingness to fight for yards this last year was really dispiriting. There was so many key third down where he could have made the play but just crumpled to the dirt immediately to avoid contact.

He seems to be a social media guy who plays football on the side.

And ultimately this is an indictment of Jimbo's program culture. He just gave 5 star kids way too much rope and overlooked lack of effort no matter how it impacted team chemistry or on the field results.

Stewart is too talented to not take if he's interested but I'm not sure he's a fix to Alabama's depth chart at WR. Adding another talented player and aiming towards growth from everyone before 2024 is never a bad policy though.

The receiver doesn't feel this pressing. Ryan Williams and company are the next guys up. Besides, this kid is coming with a price. And when I say price, I mean the highest bidder.

OL is where BAMA needs to visit the magic portal.

Should fit in well at Oregon. Stays hurt and doesn't like the dirty work of getting that extra yard for a first down.

Congrats but his departure was not mourned.

Drug testing may have been an issue.

Pretty sure Stewart already said in public that Horns are not a consideration for him. He has seen the QB play of Ewers.

Sorry our tsip friends...but Stewart aint gonna happen for you.

Ole Miss or Oregon most likely.

I think Lane already had his fill of 5-star prima donna TAMU receivers from the portal.

There’s nothing like 8 win seasons and Jimbo’s offense.

He’s walking into a really good WR room. It’s only upside with him.

If he plays a full season it will be his first since he was a junior in high school. But it’s doubtful. I’ll take odds he is out of college football by Nov 1. Without his Texas entourage telling him how great he is, it’s likely he will crumble.

Until the actual draft you still haven't had a receiver go in the first two rounds since 2008

I’m must’ve missed when Quinn, AD or Worthy played for Bama. A word of advice, good burns typically make sense.

Glad you realize they’re going to the draft while A&Ms top receivers are hitting the portal.
