No DL at all? We have zero DTs, but we have 5-6 DEs. The single DT we had committed withdrew his commitment after two days.

We have 2 defensive linemen committed (DE Julien Obioha from LA, and DE Alonzo Williams from CA)
Rivals lists Tyrone Taylor and Michael Richardson as defensive ends, but they will play linebacker. Logan David won't qualify academically, so all of his offers have been pulled from all schools.

Julien Obioha will be SDE. Likely that Alonzo Williams will move to DT (probably 3 tech). Mike Richardson talked with Snyder and they plan on using him as a WDE as well as a rush linebacker. Tyrone Taylor will grow into a WDE, but it will take a few years. He is 6'5" about 205lbs right now. Same with his brother Tyrell.
A&M hasn't landed a single DT the last two years. Sherman couldn't recruit DT or ILB to save his life. Texas is loaded at DT talent next year which is rare. We need to load up. Take two or three as well as two December Juco DL. We are so thin on the inside of the front seven. This will be our biggest struggle the first few years IMO

I think your DL recruiting will improve. The top Texas recruits on the DL will want to stay close to home and still play in the SEC. aTm will be getting top ranked classes in the near future. This is my opinion anyway.

Hope your right. All the DL talent in state flocks to The Longhorns no matter what regardless of depth. Sumlin needs to establish a change in momentum and win some head to head recruiting battles for DL with the longhorns. If not, we are in trouble

Rumors starting up that Trey Williams may visit UF on the 27th. Heard anything about that?

I feel that way because of the strength of the conference and look how many DL have gone high in the draft. The best defenses are from the SEC and I think if your recruiters sell it right they will come.
Look when it was to play in the same conference Longhorns have always had the edge. I believe those kids who have sniffed the SEC, but decided to stay in Texas, now have a great option to fulfill both in aTm. Sumlin will need to put a big emphasis on the defense though.

Trey recently cancelled his visit to Oklahoma state. He is visiting Arkansas this weekend though. I think momma wants him close to home so a trip to florid may just be for a free trip.
Sumlin was already selling the DL and SEC bit to kids this weekend. He has a presentation of sorts showing how many DL the SEC puts in the NFL compared to other conferences

Ha definitely took the bait. Barring a major shock, Trey will be an Aggie. He is one of the moat explosive playmakers at the position I've seen in a while. Hope like hell we hold onto him

Good. Offsets the loss of Momon and Jaevon Richardson, both who likely won't qualify.
The loss of Grice will affect depth big time. Next year, we would only have 4 eligible running backs on the roster.

Yes, T Johnson should commit soon. Then we have 3 ships (4 or 5 depending on Blake and Thompson) that will be used on defensive front 7 talent. Specifically DT and MLB. That's what our coaches are hitting hard the next 10 days

I think we have a couple guys (Jay Tolliver comes to mind) who never see the field, but yeah were gonna need a lot deeper backfield to roll in the SEC. I don't really consider Will Randolph a true RB anyways since he might become more of an inside receiver type now.

We find out in a week. It's 50/50 now. His dad is military and loves A&M. The new staff hasn't net with him in person yet. They need to do that ASAP and then we'll know better how we stand
