How many games did he play today??

I saw 2 full and parts of 3 others but I think they played about 6-7 total. And they played 5 yesterday that I completely missed.

At least one well-connected Southeast recruiting guy said on a UGA site today that there is a lot going on behind the scenes w/ Williams and UGA still.

They're saying the same thing about UT and McGraw. I think they're trying to keep subscribers interested.

You didn't ask me, but just today I was reading that he is solid to UGA after some conversations at The Opening, but that Bama would be the one to watch.

McGraw isn’t done with his visit schedule yet. This fall and winter, he plans on taking all five official visits, and he knows of three for sure.

“I haven’t set any up yet," he said. "I know for sure I’m going to UT, Alabama and Georgia for a fact, but I haven’t figured out the last two.”

These are direct quotes from him but the page I got it from didn't include which service it came from.

I think his recruitment will be one that goes the long hall. I'm not sure he knows where he wants to go

Said he'll be taking OVs to at least UT, UGA, and Bama. One of our more reliable writers said that he is very solid and he doesn't expect him to flip, but if he did, Bama would be the school to watch. "UT is not a threat" is what was said.

Also saw that about Preston, but I'll believe he flips from UT when he actually does it and not before.

It amazes me that Vols think Preston Williams is a lock but Mcgraw can be flipped, it seems to me that both are solid to the schools they chose but Vols fans think McGraw is going to flip.

I expect Williams to end up at UT but I also expect McGraw to end up at UGA. With that being said who knows what can happen in these young mens life to change their mind.

The only reason I feel the least bit confident about Preston is his fiancee. I definitely don't think he is a lock. I definitely don't see any UT "insiders" saying UGA "is not a threat".

Rico McGraw plays for Buck who who has been helping Butch out in a big way. Discounting UT in any recruitment involving a Playmakers Academy kid is very foolish imo, especially when it is July and the kid is going to take all his visits. One of his best friends is likely very close to committing to Tennessee too.

Any rational Vol fan that is familiar with the ebbs and flows of recruiting doesn't expect Rico to flip. Evidently, we're getting an OV so we'll get a crack at him but he'll probably stick.

The word that always goes around is that his mom is a Bama fan so id be more concerned with that than UT.

We are getting an OV, so I think calling UT "not a threat" is a bit cocky. I highly doubt we flip him but we're batting pretty well in state right now.

If Preston sets up OV's, it'll be something to watch.

No. He is an IFM/PMA kid. Buck was very surprised when he committed early to UGA. His latest update on VolQuest was that "UT is very much alive" for Rico.

And on the UGA end there are reports that Bama is the only true threat, UT isn't in the picture. I could just as easily make an argument that he's pandering to UT to keep certain people happy as you could make one that UT is still in it. Neither of us know what's going on, so there's no point.

Buck sounds like our version of JHD who is a sunshine pumper for UGA. Does he play on the 7v7 team or just work out there?

McGraw has played on their 7 on team in the past, not sure if he's on it right now.

Buck is not a sunshine pumper though. Very pessimistic when it came to Tennessee's chances with the Smith Bros, Jalen Ramsey, Kyle Phillips (before JF left), etc. He was hated by many on VQ before Thig got here.

Thig and the Fitzgeralds are very close though, which is why Tennessee has been so successful at IFM over the last 18 months.

Huge Boom on Preston Williams.

quote:

Tennessee wide receiver commitment Preston Williams, a five-star prospect and the No. 1 player in the nation at his position, said in a video interview that he is shutting down his recruitment and is solid with Tennessee. Vols fans will be happy to hear this, as Williams has said in the past he might take other visits this fall to schools like Florida and Georgia.

"I'm still committed to Tennessee 100%. I shut my recruitment down," Williams told the Atlanta Journal Constitution when he returned to Georgia following The Opening. "I shut it down. It's closed. I feel like everything is sealed now. Everything that I wanted to happen, happened. My girl is there, I'm there. I'm good now. … It's over."
