Congrats to my UGA baws on here.

This was one of few win/win situations in recruiting for a school.

We'll take Franks, #3 QB in the country

Florida could've used him, but we didn't have to have him like UGA did

No doubt, if he'd flipped today UGA's QB situation woulda been FUBAR...

Good pickup guys.. I hate to say it but im more happy that we got a kicker than i wouldve been with another QB. Franks vs Eason for the next few yrs should be fun.

Ofcourse we'll be kickin that arse though

The "ONLY" thing that led me to believe he was still all UGA was that his family never visited Gainesville...

that was the only thing? There were far, FAR more things pointing to us than to UF.

Great pick up for UG. Shame for him that he will never see an SECCG unless he watches it on TV or buys a ticket because Georgia still sucks.

That's the only thing that gave me confidence he was a mortal lock to UGA... otherwise I'd been much less confident... Gotdamn...

HUGE, I think we will see some dominos fall in the form of Nauta, Robertson and Nixon that want to play with this young man.

No, I think we will suck for a few weeks and he will get forced in to action similar to how Matt Stafford played.

There was about a two or three day period where I was somewhat hopeful, but after that all signs were pointing to UGA. Huge for y'all's class. Congrats.

I disagree with you there. Stafford only played in 06 because divine intervnetion hurt JT3's ankle on our 2nd possession of the 2nd game. Remember that even after stafford played the next several weeks, when JT3 was healthy again for UT he got the starting job back.

This is different though. We've got a clean slate on offensive coaches, I'm sure they're going to break down film obviously but they won't have any preconceived notions or memories of lambert (or ramsey), everyone is on the same footing coming in. Eason is far and away more talented than the other 2, and lambert is only here 1 more year anyway.

I believe that our staff realizes that new regimes are given a grace period to start, as they should, so if we struggle some in '16 with a TF so what? We're going to struggle anyway with lambert, so might as well throw eason in early.

Plus, I just don't see the point in delaying the inevitable. If it's basically a foregone conclusion that Eason is starting by November, just start him in September.

I agree. He can't do any worse than the QBs we already have on the roster. Might as well give him the game experience and hope his talents bring him through the learning curve.

If he's got "it" throw him out there... We finished 9-4 in Staffords Fr. season. terrible stats too start but he had so many great throws. Beat da shite outta #5 Auburn, #16 GT & #14 VT to end his Fr season...

I remember that night well. It started out SO GOOD...only to burn quickly thereafter.
