I admit this is a new one for me. I've never heard of a school doing this for a player's announcement. Kinda wish I could hack into their network to watch it.

Not for nothing but if a player is going to worry about the student's reaction to going OOS, why the hell have a public announcement? Tell the media and let them report it. Why do all these kids feel the need to have an announcement?

This is a tough one for me. I attended Alabama but I have strong affinity for Kentucky. I've told my kids that I would only pay for them to attend Alabama or Kentucky. so I feel I am somewhat objective. That being said, Elam is a big time player... sorry Kentucky you're just not there yet. Although I still contend Lexington is the most beautiful city in the world.

I just don't get all the Elam love. I'm certainly no expert, but his film is very average. Our coaches must see lots of potential. If he picks Bama, welcome aboard, but this guy could be a big time bust

Kentucky Sports Radio was invited to broadcast live from the school this morning and Elam is going to be on Kentucky Sports TV tonight so it's kind of a dick move to set all that up and pick Bama.
