How many are y'all taking?

Insiders are saying the magic number is around 20. How they even get to 20 will be an act of magic. Insiders think as of today, the class ends with: Okudah, Grimes, Lindsey, Young, Browning or Hines, Riep and one more out of Akers/Tufele/L. Wade. So yea, they are only in on top 4* and 5* guys remaining and are the clear leaders for the first 4 guys I listed

OSU has 7 seniors this year. That would mean 13 guys aren't around next fall just based on that. Some rJRs may not be asked back, as their 4 year commitment is over. Assume OSU has 5 early entrants??

How many guys do you usually have transfer out? We are at 7 right now from last year's team which seems pretty normal. (Probably averages somewhere between 5-8 a year).

I would usually say 3-5.

The problem, if this is a problem, is the 2013 class was so good that it almost required Meyer to Redshirt the entire 2014 and 2015 classes. OSU has something like 46 freshmen or redshirt freshman on the team. You have to expect some of those 46 realize they aren't gonna make it out of this looking good and maybe we get a larger number of transfers just due to that

There was a source inside OSU who said they felt great about landing him, but said it was over if Smart ended up at UGA. that's kind of why i asked

Richard was always "Georgia's to lose." But with Raekwon at Ohio State and Kirby at Alabama, it gave him plenty to think about. Once Kirby came home, there was no use in other schools trying to recruit him. It was very important to him to be Kirby's first commit.

I'm really impressed by Kirby Smart's work this offseason. Now he's just gotta do it when it counts and I think it's going to click sooner than later. The SEC East is really looking to be on the up-and-up with Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida all coming back to true form.

Anybody think we still have a real chance at DR for this year's class? Sounds like the staff is still after him. My personal feelings aside, if I were him I'd want to be at UGA.

He retweets Cal bear stuff. His ship has long sailed. He was never coming to Georgia.

Last I heard about it (late May) CKS was still recruiting him heavily. So he didn't let it go. CKS is relentless. Good recruiters have to be.

There's also a number that would probably be in the fold if Richt were still here.

Maybe some lower rated scrubs that go to miami or SC, but not any highly recruited guy.

... The Richt bashing still in full effect. It's almost like he didn't average top 10 recruiting classes over his tenure or something. I'm happier than a pig in slop that we have Kirby as HC now, but comments like this are humorous at best.

You seem to be over compensating for richt bashing. Miami and sc both got Smart rejects that were richt guys, so the statement was factually based.

As for the rest, Many of those Top tens were underachieving due to high profile misses often due to lack of attention or effort, the heat on richts seat would have been an issue with this class, and We wouldn't have master Pittman killing it with OL recruits.
