It seems he hasnt been in love with Bama for a while and the only think keeping him committed was proximity. He had been previously flirting with Florida, and this seems like it will help.

FWIW, Aaron Suttles, who has a good relationship with Bo, said he talked to someone today close and they said Bo is still firmly committed to Bama.
And he had told Bone a while back that he realizes he may potentially be outgrowing the RB position. Bama was still recruiting him as one though...
