I can see Kirk to you guys. I don't think he and LSU staff are on the same page as far as his desired position.

He means Christian Kirk not Merritt

Did LSU not recruit him, or did he just show no interest?

Not trying to flame.

He's a very good receiver. LSU just has its sights set on other WR and ATH prospects. Maybe the coaches knew that he was interested in leaving the state too and decided not to waste any time.

We're all over Merritt, too, though. Both Kirks are awesome.

Yeah I love both of them. Merritt would do nasty things in our offense as an APB

LSU didnt show much interest. Jazz Fergusen and Tyron Johnson are the main in state targets, along with Charlot. But I dont see Charlot waivering from Bama at this point.

Chigbu is one of 3-4 solid SEC level WRs in Louisiana this year that LSU just doesnt have room to recruit, you're welcome Dawgs

Thanks....

FWIW... Too many good in-state players is a good problem to have. People rag on UGA for letting so many top players go elsewhere. We get out recruited on several every year like a lotta teams do. But we can only take 25 & often we have out of state players ranked higher on our board, or it's a player who doesn't "fit" (i.e. D. Watson etc...) our system, or it's a position we're loaded at, or it could be a kid from a recently transplanted family. An "embarrasment of riches" regarding in state players is a good thing...

UGA's offensive staff has a great eye with talent. It always grabs my attention when UGA goes heavily after LA guys, because it surprisingly doesn't happen that often.

Losing Kirk Merritt is going to be a bitch. Seems like he just has no interest in LSU. I suppose I'd rather him be upfront than play us like other LA recruits have done

I personally like Chigbu more than Charlot. but I am biased and not a coach, so my opinion matters none

I agree. Saw Chigbu a couple of times last year and I saw Charlot in the spring game. Chigbu is much bigger and has much more upside imo, but they're different types of receivers. Charlot looks like more of a slot guy to me. I think he's probably Kirk Merritt's replacement as it seems he's going elsewhere.
