They're recruiting a RB who is 5'9, 190. Obviously size is not the only thing they are looking at in a prospect.

How is that much different than 5'11, 200ish?

And WTF kind of RB do you think Blanchard is, a scat back?

Blanchard is bigger than 200 lbs now. He's listed at 218 in his recruiting thread on our site based off what he's told our reporters. He was being recruited by the last staff to be a power back. They wanted to bulk him up like Knile Davis and have him play around 225.

I'm not saying he's a 5-star everyone holds a spot for him type of prospect. I'm saying he's a solid prospect that unlike some arky fans in this thread want to say he's nothing more then Sun Belt prospect had 3 other SEC offers. Last I checked that's not a terrible prospect. And schools dont offer backup plans in March and April like OM and MSU did.

All i'm saying is that if he was really projected by coaching staffs to a high priority target he wouldn't be committed to USA. I think you're overstating his value while some hogs in here are understating it. I think he would be fine although apparently the kid is pretty injury prone.

So wait, you seriously think he doesn't fit BB's mold of a power back? That's all he ever had pretty much at Wisconsin.

Once again, not saying he's a 5* cant miss everyone wants him prospect. But he's also not some throw away that only had offers from mid-majors type of prospect either. Teams cant save a spot for a guy who's committed for the majority of a year somewhere else and then when cut loose at the waning moments still have room. Teams only save spots like that for the elite of the elite usually.

Had he never committed to Arkansas, it's likely he's at Vandy, Ole Miss or MSU...now he's left with what he is.

I think he fits the mold personally and like I said before if it was me then I would keep him. I think they just dropped him because of the injuries.

right because at this point in the recruiting cycle no one needs a running back bad enough to offer him or even try and recruit him away from USA.

There is something about this player that is not jiving with his ranking. If he truly was a 4* RB no way his only good offer is USA. There is a reason he isn't picking up offers at a top level D1 school, and none of them have to do with the reasons you are giving.

I dont think he's a 4* RB, so that would explain lower tier SEC offers. Not sure why he was ranked a 4* by whoever. I'm just going by actual offers and the fact he's a pretty good player.

His rankings are all over the board. He's a 4* on rivals but the #43 RB on 247, #65 on Scout and #99 on ESPN.

Doubtful he would have landed at Vandy if he wasn't smart enough to figure out it was a bad idea to commit to JLS a few weeks after Petrino refused to accept his commitment...

People! Let me break it down for you ALL! i am fixin to put THIS BABY to BED! A warm bath....some talc.....a bottle with some of that rice meal....a fresh diaper, nice and dry....bedtime for Bonzo!

He aint been offered cause there is something in the woodpile! How many teams do you think caint see a 4 star on the big board?!

Similar situation. Last week i went for breakfast...had a few ones left over from the night before. 2 eggs over medium...sunny side up....bacon. ...buscits and gravey....2 flap jacks with maple syrup! Well these d@mned "hash browneds" appear on the table! oh yeah black coffee (forgot that). Anyhow...i et the two eggs. ..soppin up tge hen juices wit the buscits and gravey and then the bacon...follwed up by the flap jacks and syrup and splash it all down with the coffee at the end. where here comes that waitress (the fat one) she say " huuuunnnney. ..why you didnt eat them hashed brownes? " on account i didnt order the damn things that is why! i got enough to fill me up. i aint taking anything i didbt order or need! like the indians...eat what you kill...nothin more!'

well here come the sherriffs deputy and he starts blowin smoke....so i says to him as i pick up the plate where the eggs and bacon and hashbrowns was...i says YOU EAT THESE damned gash browns! "i ain't gonna because i dint order them Jack" ...well NEITHER DID I! SO I AINT GONNA PAY FOR THEM.

now...how does that relate...hash browns is like running backs...if you order them you need to eat them...simple as that....but if someone sits a running back down on YOUR TABLE and says this is yours...EAT IT...band you decided you dudnt want it so you didnt order it...no one CAN MAKE YOU!!!!!

NOW LET IT BE!

Jack Blasingame, II

PWJ's thoughts on Blanchard.

Belima didnt order the hash browneds either....and NO AMOUNT OF PEOPLE HERE IS GONNA CHANGE THAT! now i wish this young man well....i realky do...there is plenny teams that want hash browms but not us...so we dont need to have him forced on us cause the waitress wants to get a date...if you get what i m saying and many on here are to dumb to follow it so i am syre they will gripe.

Our coach doesn't turn to rivals to evaluate his prospects. The kid is either not very good, or has some grade/attitude issues.

We didn't hire Les Miles, we just got him a extension and a raise.
