I guess that's why I heard him on the radio in Houston the other day saying he was trying to talk his young son into going to LSU over TAMU.

If you want to stir shite Harvey Williams was quoted later in his career as saying he wished he had signed with Aggies.

Link?
He was just on the Radio talking to LSU about his son or one of his players. You Aggies...

I've been to more Aggie games than LSU in the last 20 years or so. I know a whole bunch of Aggies including a past president of the lettermens club. Spoken with Coach Slocum and have common family friends from his home town in La. Several boosters and ex athletes are VERY disenchanted with Sumlin because of the stain on the Aggie tradition as far as disicipline management and of course winning. KK leaving for TTU was the biggest loss for the Aggies in the last 6 years and revealed something about Sumlin - be really isn't a great X&o coach. He didn't make Tannehill or Case Keenum that was Sherman and Briles. He has ran off a TON of talent at QB.

I'm not here to stir anything - in fact my kid is VERY likely going to TAMU. I actually love the school nearly as much as LSU. I just have several friends that are ex teammates and was in college during the time Harvey was there.

No. I couldn't imagine going onto a thread about a HS player committing to LSU and running him down. How about you talk with your fellow corndogs about how much that sux.

Harvey William's made the comment I cited before the days of the internet, but this is his comment from 2012:

2012 Article

"In my mind, A&M was Hempstead," Williams said Wednesday. "USC was too far away, and Notre Dame was too cold. I loved A&M. If A&M had been in Baton Rouge, I would have gone there. But I wanted to get away from home."

Typical kid. Didn't even attend TAMU and talking all big - oooo calling names. What's funny is the comment I made was because of Taylor starting crap again and MANY Aggie fans and friends that I go to games with can't stand the guy.
You act like I'm some sort of LSU huge fan. Just line how these 17 y/o kids get under some of y'all skin when they don't know shite and people hang up on every word. This kid is playing us and y'all probably BECAUSE he is a kid and has ZERO loyalty to either school. At least his ex teammate is an LSU receiver and the QBs that are committed are changing the face of LSU maybe but who knows. I can state for sure that some very high level Aggies and ex players I know have had it Sumlin. He better pray that Mazzone has solved the offensive issues and quick or Herman will be at TAMU very soon.

I'm just not into reverting name calling when I'm knowingly wrong. I just admit it.

I sure hope not. We don't need another flash-in-the-pan Houston coach.

Agreed, and for some reason this doesn't get talked about much. But I really think Sumlin has now put together the best coaching staff we've had during his tenure, and I honestly can't think of one better in my lifetime. We'll see.
