Please don't act like LSU is some heavy hitter in the basketball recruiting world. According to 24/7 for the last 10 years, LSU has out recruited MSU in exactly half of those classes and according to that site, a top 25 class is really good for LSU

I've seen this kid play a few times here in Kentucky. He has the potential to be a great defender and rebounder, but early on I'd expect basically put-backs and lobs to constitute his offense. That's not a knock, necessarily. If Howland can polish him he'll be pretty good--can run and jump very well for his size. If I remember correctly, he played with a shorter, fat 5 man in high school who was crazy productive and (at least in the games I saw) the primary offensive post option.

Before Shaka left VCU I thought he'd end up there because he is well suited for "havoc."

Not saying we are UK or anything but I'm not sure how John Brady's and Trent Johnson's recruiting is relevant here.

Johnny Jones classes at LSU have been:

2013 - #5 overall, #2 SEC
2014 - #37 overall, #7 SEC
2015 - #3 overall, #2 SEC

That's two Top 5 classes in just his first 3 years recruiting. Jones has proven he is an elite or near elite recruiter thus far.

Your statement is condescending and makes it sound as though top 5 recruiting classes are the norm in BR. I went back 10 years to get a decent sample size. I agree LSU's recruiting has been very good under Jones but it is not elite until it is sustain

2 out of last 3 classes is pretty telling, nobody cares what Brady or Johnson did

Doubling as Captain Stupid?

Take a look back at some of our classes, especially early to mid 2000's, and you might be surprised.

Why would that matter? A decade ago means nothing now. Are you guys trying to argue this class ISNT good for state at this point? Certainly seems like it.

Interesting analysis, maybe you didn't see him play enough. He shot 62.2 percent from the field and 52 percent from the 3 point line. He will have an adjustment period for sure especially needing to gain strength. However, I will definitely expect more from him than put-backs and lobs on offense.

Hard to find a lot of sources on that but I linked what I did find which shows him 23 of 42 from 3 point land.

Yes, it is great for State considering the given status, but to act as if this is out of the norm is retarded. 2012-2014 was out of the norm; not so much this year's class.
