Congrats Bama. Hope this means we get Carter. Knott definitely has the potential to be an elite corner, that kind of athleticism is rare. Hope he has a great career, just let him slip a few plays against us each year.

Good football player. Seems like a horrible person.

Can't imagine somebody trying to get me to do a video like that just to tell where I'm going to college.

He's grown up his entire life idolizing NFL players. He worked hard at achieving his goal and is rated as a top 5-10 corner in the entire country coming out of high school. Think about that, how many high school football players are there in the US? Thousands and thousands of players play cornerback, and he's rated 5-10.

He wanted to live in the moment for a little bit and imagine his life on the big stage. He put together a well done video showing his commitment. Thanked his coaches, his family and his support system on helping him realize his dream.

This doesn't make him a horrible person. It makes him a kid with a dream, talent, and vision. Something most people his age don't have. Let him have his moment in the spotlight.

Wow... MSU people are really pissed regarding their recruiting season. While almost every other posters are congratulating Bama on getting this kid, you called him a horrible person? Do you know Nigel? Did he kick your dog? Give you a wedgie? Steal your girlfriend? That would be a 'horrible person'.

You say that State were not interested in him, I think it was that other way... he was not interested in MSU.

BTW, Houston Nutt sucked at recruiting before he gave up and left...

Pretty good story in the CL about him (and two other local kids). Congrats on the pickup.

Givens’ life changed the summer of Knott’s junior year when he became active on the camp circuit. Givens always knew her son was fast and that’s what caught the eyes of coaches early on. During the course of one weekend in 2014, Knott went to Southern Miss, Ole Miss and Auburn camps, each time bettering what he had just done.

“I was shocked,” Givens said. “He ran a good time at Ole Miss and then ran faster and jumped higher at Auburn. The players were screaming and the coaches were really impressed with him. I looked over at his grandma, she looked over at me and I looked over at his dad and was like, oh my goodness, here we go. Nigel was looking at me like, 'yeah mom, we’re going to do this.' My whole life changed right there. I had to start catering around to him.”

Word of Knott’s camp performances got around as the offers poured in for the budding Germantown star. Each camp he attended, he was already on someone’s radar. That momentum never died down.
