I wonder when he got downgraded from a 4*? At one point in time, he was like the #4 overall TE in the rankings.

Also, when did 3* top 3 lists start making the lists for "topics" on the sec recruiting board? Not a flame, but it's typically reserved for higher rated prospects or kids that schools are really fighting over. Is this guy really underrated or something?

Kid is considered one of the best TE's in the nation. Was a top 200 player overall while committed to Baylor. He decommits and his ranking all of a sudden plummets. Real Odd.

This type of thread actually makes more sense for the recruiting board than when folks are just posting when a player commits.

That is some good intel. I remember he tried to commit to A&M a while back, but his mom asked him to reconsider. Strong family ties to Arkansas and their recent success with developing TEs would be a win-win for the kid.

There was a ton of smoke between us and this kid a while back when the Baylor stuff was going down and all of the sudden it stopped. I was wondering what happened, if he just cooled on us or something. I thought he was a solid prospect

On a side note, I saw an article yesterday where Cameron Clear's JUCO head coach threw some shade at A&M. I know you guys say the same things he was saying about A&M not using the TE but it was odd seeing a head coach at a feeder school like Arizona Western actually say it. I wonder if someone got James to listen to the same pitch.

Most of us all know that Spavital was an idiot. Hopefully things will get better under Mazzone.
That being said, Clear doesn't have any grievances adopt his time at A&M. Maybe this coach was hoping to leverage Clear fir his own personal gain?

This was unexpected, I don't think anyone had him pegged as the TE or even the potential 2nd TE in the class.
Not a knock though, dude is built well and can run for hi size. Plus if Arkansas was after him, that is a pretty good indicator of talent for a TE.

Kid was rated much higher when he was a part of Baylor's class. Once he started looking around and stated he was no longer going to Baylor, his ranking just fell off the map.
