It sucks that we waited this long to do this to him. Should have informed him at least a week ago so he could have taken some OVs.

Dick move by Saban. He's been committed since June 11th, has 3 unoffical visits to only Bama, and then only OVed to Bama. Literally days for signing day he gets processed.
He's basically shut down interest from other schools while committed. I hope A&M gives him a look since we missed on McCollouch.

This kid knew this was a possibility, and the coaches haven't decided on it yet. The worst case scenario is he enrolls in Jan 17. The best best case is he enrolls Aug 16. Either way it's a scholly.

No. We offered him a greyshirt, then he decommitted. He was upset, understandably, but at least we did it 3 weeks before NSD instead of 3 days.

Seeing how he's been committed for so long, I'm guessing Kirby probably has a good relationship with him. Maybe he can pull him in late.
