no room for Carter to enroll early, but apparently plenty for a LB
That was a ruse. We just didn't want him anymore since Chubb and Sony retuned and we like swift better.
Recruiting is a cruel game.

Didn't mean it like that. Sorry I misspoke. I guess I ran out of ways to congratulate Georgia in one post? Geez

Even if that was sarcasm, I had a feeling this was it. His recruiting really fell off the map from what it started. Went from possible 5 star to a low 4 star and then to a 3. Several programs like A&M withdrew offers.

It wasn't sarcasm in the slightest. We put publicly tried to save face and use the EE thing but TC's coach said that we pulled his offer. And I mean it's really not that surprising. With chubb and Sony back, and 4* hilufield being a true sophomore, and a higher ranked swift already committed too...We didn't really need him. It sucks it worked like that but sometimes it happens.
If either Chubb or Sony left for the draft Carter would still be here.

I have a hard time understanding how fans can get mad at kids flipping to other schools knowing this type of thing can happen. Like you said GA did nothing wrong, recruiting is very much like a business.

What I hate most is that he committed a long time ago and seemed to really love UGA. However, I take solace in knowing he's going to stay home and play for the home team big time program and get started immediately and likely have a solid career there. Probably going to work out well for all parties.

Yup. But like you said, it sounds like he will be okay.
