Van Horne

My uncle won 4 straight at the 103 weight class in HS. He had his name up in the old gym.

I thought Pritz was the one who won 7 in a row.

Since I've been in the program in 95 it's been Van Horne. Or at least what I remember. It was westerman for junior program then by the time I was HS it was van horn. Only have heard stories from my dad about late 70s and aunt and uncle from early and mid 80s

Yeah. I remember the coach. My son should have finished 4th in his class, but the ref missed a pin he had on the other kid. (I have it on tape, so I have proof...not just whining.....the coach actually said my son had him twice)

They won like 7 in a row, my best friends dad was the coach

Wow! 7? I only remember one, but I didn't follow it closely before my sone wrestled. I know parkview was dominating, then it moved to Collins Hill and Pope.....and McEachern was always very good along with Union Grove.

Yep 89-95 mceachern won it all then again in 98. Wrestling at mceachern was HUGE. Spotlights when the wrestlers came out, announcing their names. It was awesome. Won in 03 and 07 as well then Collins hill took over once Van Horne was fired for pissing on a building while in Athens.

Jimmy Dorsey, highest winning % in their school history at .771.

We were talking wrestling. And are you sure Hockman hasn't overtaken that stat?

It was Pritz. Didn't know it till I just asked the rents. My brother was good friends with his son Nate. I was too young to remember that.
