Well you left off both Patrick Willis and Randall Cobb, but it's straight Fulmer forgot about them while he was recruiting as well....

The more you brag about UT's in-state talent the more depressed you should feel about UT's current program.

This was posted today by the VQ staff on the TN instate talent continuing to rise. Thought it was interesting

quote:

When comparing the talent in Tennessee for the classes of 2014 and 2015, Southeast analyst Woody Wommack said they each have their own strengths.

"I think the 2015 class is pretty deep but I don't know if it has two guys at the top like this year in Josh Malone and Jalen Hurd," Wommack said. "There are a lot of guys I like, Drew Richmond, Josh McMillon, Jack Jones and on and on so depth-wise, I would probably give the edge to the 2015 class, but in terms of can't-miss talent at the top, 2014 gets the edge. "

While the Vols' 2014 has key playmakers like Malone and Hurd, Wommack added that looking ahead to the future already has the Vols in a great position to land a good 2015 class.

"Now that Tennessee has a class the should help build depth in the future, adding more playmakers on both sides of the ball while also being more selective is the key when it comes to the 2015 class," Wommack said. "Obviously when you look at guys like Preston Williams and Andrew Butcher, they fit the mold. The key will be to keep the momentum rolling into the offseason and then turn in improved results on the field next fall."

The continuing trend of top instate talent should also help build depth for the Vols, Farrell said.

"Kids from Tennessee grow up and want to play for the Vols, regardless of the Dooley era and whatever has happened with Kiffin and all of that, they just do," Farrell said. "And if they have a legitimate coach and a legitimate staff, which they have now, I think they just want to end up there."

The stars aligned this year for Butch to be able have a high number(by TN standards) of recruits to choose from, and then keeping the most elite at home. Keeping Hurd, Malone, and TK Jr. in state was big
