Man 43-38 really scarred you guys, didn't it?... Gloating over an instate 2015 kid who most have considered a UGA lean for some time.
Congrats... Dudes good. It's probably not over, but we'll see.

5 star Godwin talk
Here is the link where an Aubie said they lead for Godwin. Enjoy
They did lead. It wasn't just rumor. He was a lock to us last summer and sometime around Oct/Nov AU took the lead and if we'd kept the old staff, he would be a tiger. Fantastic work by Lilly and while he may not have talked to Pruitt, that hire definitely had a lot to do with it.

Pffffffft. Try gloating over a '15 kid that was probably something around 80% lean to Auburn as of last week, damn right. "Most" that actually know what they are talking about, haven't considered Godwin a UGA lean since midway through the season. He was all Auburn, a lot of us had essentially conceded him to you guys because there was little chance he was coming here with the old staff.

Huh?

Not everyone realized it, I suppose, but we were losing ground to AU daily on Godwin. He was not coming here without this staff change. He loves UGA, but he wasn't jumping onboard what he saw as a sinking ship.
Now though, this one is over. It would take something really crazy to change it.

I'm sure the hire helped, but this was mainly Lilly. Auburn was gaining ground but was by no means the favorite.

Is this sarcasm?
UGA has promised him a shot at WR... Don't think pruitt's 4 days on the job had anything to do with this... FSU wasn't even in his top6.

Is this serious?
As though you have any clue what is going on with him. You really think Pruitt's hire had nothing to do with this?
He is not "promised" a goddamn thing. The plan is to use him at WR initially because he can contribute there immediately, and then play him both ways or just on D later on. His ceiling at DB is twice as high as it is at WR, we'd be stupid to not attempt to move him and get use from him at the position he will play in the NFL.
The important thing is that UGA is now walking the recruiting trail like this:
Rest of the SEC, prepare thine anuses.

Lilly gets the credit, but without the staff change, it takes a miracle to get Godwin here. Based on what I was hearing, Auburn passed us back in Nov, they were far past "gaining ground" and the problem before that wasn't just that they were gaining it, it is that we were also losing it.
We were gonna lose him without some kind of miracle. Pruitt's hire has energized the program and that wave of momentum is what got Godwin to do this now.

Your own posters were saying differently, but whatever... it's pretty clear after the last two months that you guys are beyond desperate for good news.... going so far as to manufacture spin on one of your own commitments.
And comparing pruitt's hire to a miracle... Is this fricking real life?

Godwin said he hadn’t met or talked to Pruitt yet, but that his relationship with Lilly and Richt played a big factor in his UGA decision.
quote:
“UGA has been there since Day One,” Godwin told the AJC. “Coach Richt and (assistant John) Lilly have been like father figures to me, and they’ve helped me become a better person. It just felt right to go there.”

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound junior said he decided to commit to UGA after seeing Lilly at his basketball game on Friday night. He called Richt to give him the news on Saturday morning.

Nice verbal gesture on the prospects part knowing he has minimum of 13 months to change his mind.
A.) verbal commitments don't mean shite<
B.) NLOI day is early Feb every year and that is 13 months before the 2015 kids sign up.
