In case you were wondering yes, A&M IS going to sign every recruit in 2015. All of them.

Honestly, with as bad as TAMU's defense was last year, I am a little less impressed with Sumlin than I was.
Interesting.
I figured you'd be even more impressed. After all, he's cleaning up the defensive kids your boy Strong would love to have notwithstanding A&M's shitty 2013 defense.

The same leftovers that whipped your arse the last 3 times we played. Look at NFL rosters buddy and see who has the bosses and who has the bitches.

ha ha
After LSU, Bama, and Texas come running and the history of the aggies defense some of those recruits will decommit. Don think you will hold those recruits because all the crap Sumlin preaches the defense will be the worse in the SEC again and that's when the decommits will begin. This time you won't have JFF to bail you out so its a long year until 2015 NSD.

How'd that work out this year?

rabble rabble rabble jizz jars, nut squeezing, shitty defense blah blah blah
But really though, I understand some guys being attracted to the favorable depth chart, but what's with all of these highly-touted defensive players going to A&M all of a sudden? A few months ago, we were in the driver's seat for guys like Jefferson, Pryor (although there was a lot of talk that he was waiting on an A&M offer all along), and Boyd, among others.
I sure as hell wouldn't trust in Snyder being able to coach me up after seeing that abortion of a defense y'all put on the field last season. Or does it have more to do with the relationships that they have with the coaches? I'm just genuinely curious

Jesus. Snyder won two BCS bowls as a DC, including a National Championship.
The 2013 defense was an abortion because of personnel, not coaching. When you consider Snyder's entire body of work--including his serviceable 2012 defense--that much is obvious.

We aren't. they are all just trolling us. Very much like what Tony brown, speedy, and GWIII did to ULSU

I didn't know we had a defense last season.

Hey WestCoastAg, man up and change your shite to A&M and drop that pussy UCLA shite. Oh yeah come back and talk smack when y'all....errrrrrrr A&M accomplishes something worthy of talking about

I only knew about it because my mom bitched about it nonstop and I saw it live against Duke. Although it may have just been a unicorn, I'm not really sure

Snyders total body of work really isn't that bad, but I'm not going to pretend like 16/17 yr old kids know shite about that. We have definitely built up some very good relationships in East Texas

A&M is stacking up the talent. We know what the offense can do. If that defense can take a step forward they will compete in 2015 and may be the front runners in the west soon.
Sumlin is taking advantage of a down UT and recruiting his tail off. Only concern I see is that the defense while young, did not seem to progress much through this season. Not up to date with the defensive coaching at A&M, but they hit on a coach like LSU did with Chavis, and Sumlin stays they will be a power soon.

They did...and they didn't.
At weakside end, we had Julien Obioha playing completely out of position coming off a back injury and true freshman Daeshon Hall. Hall really came on late.
At 3-tech, we had Alonzo Williams at the beginning of the year, but RS JR Ivan Robinson ripped the job away from him by season's end. He had our only sack in the bowl game.
At nose, we were in serious trouble when RS SR Kirby Ennis tore his ACL in the Arkansas game. At that point, the 2-deep consisted of true freshmen Isaiah Golden and Hardreck Walker. Golden came on near the end of the year, but was still an 18 year old freshman going against SEC junior and senior Olinemen. Walker hasn't figured out how to beat double teams yet.
At strongside end, the lightbulb came on for Gavin Stansbury. After that, all we had was true freshman Jay Arnold, who will end up being like Spencer Nealy, but isn't there yet.
At will linebacker, Steven Jenkins was a senior with the body of a senior but the brain of a freshman. You either got great or awful play from him, little in-between.
At mike linebacker, you had Darion Claiborne, who was probably our 2nd best pure defender as a true freshman...until he got himself suspended for the bowl game. He'll be at WILL next year. Jordan Mastrogiovanni has the body of a mike and got better at his reads as the year went on...another true freshman.
At sam...we were (and possibly are) fricked. We had a SR WR playing SAM, backed up by a JR will failing at mike and sam, backed up by a JUCO with the body of a safety, backed up by a true freshman with big play ability but limited playing time.
At cornerback, De'Vante Harris can cover, but can't tackle worth shite and was on a lot of opponents' highlight reels. Deshazor Everett had to rotate between corner and free safety due to our complete ineptitude at the position. At nickel, Toney Hurd was probably our best defender, but undersized. Noel Ellis came into his own late in the year. Sezer and Garner will be solid contributors, but were true freshmen.
At free safety...it was BAD. You had a converted JR RS QB playing safety who BEAT OUT Floyd Raven. That should say it all.
At strong safety, Howard Matthews can tackle, but is an EXTREME liability at coverage and got worse. If Kameron Miles wasn't hurt, he would have started every game.
Basically, the dline play got slightly better, LB play stayed the same, and DB play got worse. With Marcel Yates taking the Boise DC job and Terry Joseph taking his old job, the secondary should improve. With added talent AND DEPTH in the front seven, the defense can't do anything BUT get better.

Clearly, because he didn't coach this starting unit to be the #27 scoring defense in 2012 (same defense that held the OU team that put 63 on Texas to 13 points):
3-star DL Damontre Moore (ALL-AMERICAN)
3-star DL Spencer Nealy
3-star DL Kirby Ennis
3-star DL Julien Obioha
3-star LB Steven Jenkins
3-star LB Sean Porter
3-star LB Jonathan Stewart
3-star DB Dustin Harris
3-star DB Deshazor Everett
3-star DB Steven Terrell
4-star DB Howard Matthews
