Hard for it to be a "big win" over UGA when we cooled on him and we weren't part of his final top 5...in fact I would call it a "big win" over LSU who was listed in his final top 5

Regardless, very talented player and nice pick up for USC

We wanted him, but he never even visited. UGA may have "cooled" on him, but it was after they realized that he was leaving the state despite their best efforts to keep him.

Or they got 2 other 4* commits at the position and had 2 others higher on the board (Josh Sweat and D'Andre Walker).

But yeah, best efforts to keep him or whatever. If UGA wanted him badly, they wouldn't quit on him.

Nice. At 6'5" 200 lbs, he has a lot of room to fill out. Big win over UGA.

His current weight is nearer 230. He'll add weight and muscle fast once he arrives at Carolina. He's got a lot of upside. His film looks outstanding.

He's almost Clowneyesgue with his first step and quickness and aggressiveness. Maybe even more aggressive than Clowney. Definitely gets after it.

2 minute highlight video - kid can play. Wearing #49. Looks like he could play a little linebacker too. Very quick on his feet.

If he can retain his athleticism after putting on another 30-50 pounds, he will be a force.

I'll just chime in with congrats, solid pick up, wish we had landed him.

You sure are butthurt right now
And you sound like an idiot using "butthurt" and way to avoid the fact that he's not fully qualified yet.

Thanks. It would be an embarrassment of riches for y'all had y'all landed him.

He'll be a force opposite Shameik Blackshear ( LINK) on the other end for a few years to come we hope.

Now, if we can land Marquavius Lews, we'll be done at DE for this coming class and combined with what we have returning we should be set at the position for a couple of years. Looks like it is between Carolina and Auburn for Lews.

Grades

Well if this last d ends class is any indication, then, yeah, grades

Seems 24/7 needs to update his stats. Have him listed at 6'5 and 200 pounds, rivals at least has 6'6 228. Guessing he will get a redshirt to bulk up a bit more.

I'd say they both do. He is more like 6'6", 205-210. Lanky, IMO. He will bulk up though, or I'd imagine he won't be playing much. Looks like he could probably get up to 250 at least, maybe more, he has a lot of room to grow.

He decommitted from USC because of Pruitt. We later cooled on him because he doesn't really fit our defense and it's been expected he'd recommit to them for a while. He has huge potential, but is also a big risk because he could easily not fill out and never do anything.

So tell me again why that'd be a big risk for a UGA defense?

Because if he doesn't fill out, he is Dexter Morant part 2 and he'll "bite UGA in the arse" about as much as losing Dexter did USC.

My thoughts:

We made a pass at Key at some point around his decommitment.

I haven't heard anything about UGA and Key in a couple months.

I have no clue about his grades. That aspect will be interesting to follow.

He's a bit of a project, but ultimately a good pick up for USCe.

Nothing about him is Clowneyesque.

It just keeps becoming clearer just how big of a win over UGA this was for the Gamecocks.
