Yeah because Auburn doesn't need a 5 star linebacker from their own home state

The kid knows everybody expects him to go to bama, so he is just trying to create more interest in his recruiting by naming another school as his leader imo.

We also do not need to waste time or an official visit on someone we know does not want to come to Auburn. Auburn has the same chance at landing Wilson as Fresno State.

Read that he skipped his planned Bama visit this weekend. Hopefully UF can stay on him and he keeps reciprocating interest.

He also skipped out on a visit to UF a few weeks ago. Kid seems a bit inconsistent.

I wish public interest in football recruiting would die in a fire. All of these kids let it go to their head and they end up making stupid decisions.

Wouldn't his propensity for skipping planned trips make him consistent?

I have never been "all over" recruiting. I get why people like it. It really has nothing to do with my Auburn fandom. I just wish recruiting wasn't such a shite show.

Bama has a shite load of lb's playing time could be a long ways off there while he could start at uf next yr

Probably does go to Bama tho lol but if he's a pass rush lb he's gonna have a lot of talent in front of him

Bama won't guarantee a starting spot, but if he's good enough, history has shown he'll get time if he's earned it. A freshman has often gotten into the rotation at ILB, and Bama loses 2 on the depth chart after this season in Reggie Ragland and Dillon Lee. Lee is the starter at SAM, but he's the top reserve at ILB with Shaun Hamilton as well.

Ragland, Lee, and Denzel Devall are all starters at LB that will graduate, Reuben Foster being the only returning starter for 2016. Other than Shaun Dion Hamilton, who admittedly will be the favorite to replace Ragland, the only guys left on the ILb depth chart are 2 special teamers in Walker Jones and Keith Holcombe and a redshirting Adonis Thomas.

So while Wilson may not be in the best position to start, he could easily slide in as the 3rd ILB who gets a fair amount of playing time. Shaun Dion Hamilton is in that role now, and he's 9th on the team in tackles...

I forgot about Adonis

Besides him there's Tim Williams, rashan Evans, Christian miller etc

And that's just the pass rush guys lol it's pretty crazy

McMillon is an OLB, Wilson is being recruited as an ILB.

He could play SAM, pass rusher come in there on 3rd downs. Same with Duvall at JACK, he plays the tradition LB role and cedes snaps to DPRS if he's not on the field.

Just a couple of pictures of Mack from his game last night.

This kid looks like a beast. I hope we can land him.
