Regardless of if Vandy's player was trying to fair catch or not (don't think he was) Arky's player still jacked him up before the ball got there. Thus it was illegal and dirty.

Maybe. Can't tell what the guy saw. But it's highly unlikely that he didn't see him empty handed. It's over though.

His reaction to the ejection reminded me of LeGarrette Blount being taken off the field after the Boise game.
