I knew as soon as 2013 started going south during fall camp that we were going to lose to them. What kind of retard schedules a triple option team in the middle of conference play?

I honestly don't think our loss there or the back to back buttfrickings by Missouri were shocking or unexpected.

Zook getting Croomed was the most unexpected loss for me. Urban getting stomped by Bama in 2005 was the most humiliating.

I felt ours should be 2013 Tennessee to be honest. Who gives a frick about that Kentucky game in 2014? Literally meant nothing. 2013 Tennessee beating us sent a less talented Missouri team to Atlanta.

I was going to suggest the same thing. USCe finished the season 11-2, but lost to 5-7 Tennessee. That loss kept USCe from winning the East. How could the Kentucky loss be more shocking than being ranked #11 and losing to a 3-3 team that barely squeaked out a win over South Alabama 2 weeks prior?

This is a crap list.

I don't even have to click the link because there isn't a worse loss than Jacksonville State in my opinion

Mississippi State once lost to Maine.... Not sure how that possibly didn't make this list, even if it did launch the Croom era. Thats easilt worse than Jax State.

And at the time Jacksonville State beat Ole Miss they weren't the FCS powerhouse they are now, but over the last 5 years or so I wouldn't be surprised if they could have beaten some of the Sun Belt or MAC teams that have notched SEC wins.

LSU
Date: November 14, 2015
Opponent: Arkansas
Result: 31-14

So this was a bigger loss than when LSU was #4 in the counrty and lost in overtime to a UT team that was 1-1 in 2005??? A team that LSU was beating 21-0 at halftime? That was LSU's only regular season loss in '05, while UT finished 5-6. I don't see losing to Arkansas in '15 being a more shocking loss than the one to UT.

A&M's loss to Auburn in 2015 is nowhere close to the most shocking A&M loss.

Try Colorado 2009, Arkansas State 2008, Iowa State 2005, Baylor 2004, Colorado 2000, and USL 1996.

Wow, what an idiotic list. LSU's is the 2015 Arkansas game? Kentucky's is a 2007 loss to an 8-5 Mississippi State? Mississippi State's was a loss to Ole Miss? Tennessee's was a loss to Alabama? South Carolina's a loss to Kentucky?

That's fricking moronic. Even I can come up with worse/more shocking losses for all of those teams right off the top of my head.

Mississippi State's worst lost will always be against Maine.

True, but we still should not have lost to them. It was and still is an embarrassment.

Meh the ULM game sucked, but the Northern Illinois loss back in '03 was probably worse. The 2007 wasn't bought into the new coaching staff and what talent was on that team was young.

The Northern Illinois game was just inexcusable. Micheal Turner was legit, but still that game was a disaster.

That article sucks.

I mean State lost to Maine, UAB, Troy, and Louisiana Tech and they pick a loss to a ranked Ole Miss team?

kentuckys is MSU in 07. that MSU team was decent, won eight games, won the Liberty Bowl and beat Bama.

Worst loss? Sure. Shocking? Meh

We had no coach. We won 3 games all year. I imagine half of the team mailed in the rest of the season after Spurrier quit.

Most shocking I would say is still Tennessee in 2013. Maybe 2012 Florida, not because we lost, but how we lost and by how much.

While this is true, I see what the author was going for. 2014 we let our #1 rival (almost certainly) keep us out of the playoffs. Maybe the only chance we ever have. It was definitely a gut punch after the season we had.
