As a younger Gamecock fan who has only been watching for just a couple of years, I'm curious about what years were your favorite when it came to watching college football? It doesn't have to be because of your team specifically, but mainly just your most memorable years watching in general.

For me since I've only watched for a couple of years, the obvious choice has to be the seasons of 2011-2013. The SEC races were quite interesting, and even more so since the Gamecocks were actually in the mix these years. I enjoyed myself quite a bit those years personally.

So, what about y'all?

LSU the last 15 years outside of a few years like 2008-9 and 2014.. Though '14 had some fun games like ole miss. But I'd take that span any day with some lumps.

2003 was my most fun. No one expected LSU to be so dominant, as I think we started the season #17 or #18 in the nation. To watch us dominate and go to the national championship, let alone win, was the most fun I've ever had. Now, with higher expectations every year, I don't think I'll ever have that feeling again

As an LSU fan it was '00-'04 culminating in our first natty. I was age 10-14 at that time and still looked at those guys as my heroes. My dad started bringing me to games in 1994 (he had tickets since the mid 80s) and seeing him cry tears of joy in the Superdome after kicking OU's arse was amazing. It's never the same after climbing to the top that first time.

Not necessarily, I've seen plenty of people who regard a season as a classic because of the national championship alone, or the intense conflict within their own conference. I think there's more to it than just your team having a good season.

im 32 now... and i absolutely love college fb. But for me, the best times was when i was probably 10-15 years old. I enjoyed it without the emotional attachment to it. Now when i watch and Tennessee loses my day is ruined (more often than not these days) But when i was younger i would just flip to another game and eat some more pizza. Every year when that cool crisp air comes down for the first time i always think about when i was a kid enjoying football.

2008-2011.

Outside of 2010, those teams were seemingly unstoppable.

Haha, it's moments like that that are just priceless. I watch the games with my family and we always get so loud whenever a big play happens. It's all an even better experience when you can witness the win with other people. There's nothing better than tailgating with your family while watching the Gamecocks beat Clemson. It's just great when it happens.

Probably the years my nephew was living with me. 2007 till 2012. Some really good years in there, and some really bad years. But I'd converted him to the cult of the Hog and we loved to watch games together. After he passed away I've never really been able to get into games the way I used too.

Probably 01-03, which was my soph-senior years of high school. I'll always love the dawgs and cherish every second, but it was just a different feeling when you're young. Even when you're in college, you walk past players on teh street, you see them downtown..they're humanized. Even though it's only a few years prior, when you're in HS you look up to them. These are giants out there on the field that you look up to and almost see as heroes. So aside from all of that part of the equation, it was also an exciting time for the program. When I was old enough for my brain to realize what football was and what was happening, I was subjected to goff then donnan. '01 saw some lowlights but also some pretty great highs as well, you could just kind of feel the momentum changing. Then 2002 brought a few historical wins for the ages, our first east title, and of course our first SEC title in 20 years followed by a Sugar Bowl berth.

I'm sure I'd love all that happening now, but when it happened then as I was a teenager who hadn't experienced anything like that before, it was almost euphoric.

2007 was by far my favorite season. There were seemingly huge upsets every week, also helped that we happened to win a natty that year. Aside from that I loved 2000-2004, playing in a high school game Friday night, watching the JP game at 11 the next morning then heading to Death Valley mid afternoon to catch a night game were awesome times.
