I mean it wasn't a regular late hit where the guy is a few steps out and then gets hit. He was a few yards out before he pushed him. In the end it is just arguing semantics and wouldn't be an issue if the golf cart wasn't on the sidelines. I wouldn't call him a dirty player.

Edit: yards may be a bit of a hyperbole

In addition to the cart, sign, Josey facemask and the fact that Josey is fine, it is never mentioned that White was booking it to get there.

It was late, obviously, but force of the late hit was aggravated by White's momentum, Josey sliding and the cart. Mizzou fans were basically saying it was some egregious dirty play, which is just ridiculous. The most egregious thing is that White shite talked Josey afterward, but I'm guessing that was because of the facemask.

Stay classy, Auburn.

It was a dirty hit. No use defending it. It was not exactly the abomination of desolation. It was just a petty shove in a heated moment. I don't feel good about White's reaction to it either. But it was a dirty hit.

I just watched the video again. I don't see Josey doing anything remarkable. And it looks to me like White had no chance to see the cart, much less take it into account. That stuff happened at very high speed. Just a petty, dirty hit IMO.

Everybody on this board who ever played football has made a dirty hit. Most of us weren't dirty players. There's a difference.

I'm not gonna reply in kind. I will say my reply was to the OP, which I thought was kinda pitiful. Y'all wanna defend the hit, whatever. I think you're wrong. But the OP was just sorry.

That hit was clean. Just a missed scrape block. Kinda obvious if you know OL play. Looked like hell, but it was clean.

it was a late hit. If we want to say all late hits are dirty i'm ok with that. I thought it was penalized correctly and that's that. But i disagree that it was a dirty play, unless of course we're going to say all late hits are dirty. I don't see what (of things in white's control) made it dirty. Sorry, i don't think that makes me classless, just curious for an explanation.

Agreed. I don't think there was any intent to really hurt him, but it was a cheap shot.

But, it's done.
