Further proof that Legion Field was not a neutral site....I remember paying a guy $20 to " watch" my car for me when we played y'all there.

Home of the Birmingham Bowl fka BVA Compass Bowl fka Papa John Bowl.

Bid for 9th best SEC team, assuming that team is bowl-eligible.

And as of right now, they have no corporate sponsor yet.

We would deny the invite to that bowl.

That's fine. To make up for the SEC's loss of the $1.950,000 payout, you guys can send in some of that coin that your baseball team makes. REC gotta be paid.

The price to park was usually $10-15. You had to promise them an extra $10 to "watch it for you". Bama fans usually got the local discount because they wanted repeat business. The visiting team got gouged.

Why do you guys seem proud of this? You do realize it makes your entire state look terrible, right?

Because, after all, how else were we supposed to get recruits?

If it's any consolation, you'll be the home team in January.

It could be worse. I guess we could have had to play in a stadium located in a shithole like Baton Rouge.

Yeah what you are describing doesn't happen in Baton Rouge. Or New Orleans for that matter.

But it will always be your home. Take comfort in that.

Because Birmingham is so far from Tuscaloosa. It is the largest city in your state. It is your flagship.

I, for one, have spent lots of time there and think it has a lot of redeeming qualities. But let's not deny that it has its seedy side, which you guys are now bragging about for some strange reason, as if it should be an insult to LSU rather than to the entire state of Alabama.

Most other LSU fans get the insult, and it's got nothing to do with the neighborhood around Legion Field. You, however, seem to have missed it completely.

Oh I get it. We are headed for a shitty bowl.

I don't think that you get that you managed to insult yourselves in the process. That's the funny part, to me.
