I played against Chaz "The Human Chopblock" Ramsey in HS

He actually didnt have to chopblock in HS he just dominated everybody in front of him.

RebFeBrees

How did you play against Will Arnold if you were in 5A pubic school ball presumably at Hattiesburg HS?

Arnold was a beast in the MPSA as was Chaz

She graduated in '96 I believe. I was '04. Still, if I ever meet her, I'd have some good material to work with having gone to both her same schools.

Played baseball and football with Trent Richardson at Myrtle Grove and went to high school with him.

I got pegged by Jimmy Nelson (Alabama) when I was a sophomore.

Also played against Blake Dean.

Played at HHS my sophomore year and transferred to PCHS for my junior and senior yrs. Played against Arnold my junior his senior year in a preseason jamboree. Dude was a giant, especially in 2A private school ball.

PS - when I played against Powe it was in a JV (10th grade) game in Waynesboro. He was starting for their JV team as a freshman and got solid reps on their badasss varsity squad. He was a freak even at that age.

Oh yeah - Steve Gandy was nice enough to give me my second -and last- concussion in that same game. That dude brought the lumber. It blew my mind he never did alot at Auburn.

Ironically enough, his career ended because of concussions.

Man that's a shame. Always a really classy guy, he and I kept up and would see eachother at 7-7 camps and whatnot. Always wanted him to blow it up on The Plains.

You might like WC's unis too, they are the War Eagles.....

I think I saw this the other day on Fox Sports South. They were doing a show on the Jones County Schools. I think it was West Jones playing WC.

Yea you did see that, it's that Yall vs Us thing that they are doing all over the state of MS. There is a book that this program is based on.

Oddly enough, the oldest rivalry in the state of MS which is Hattiesburg High vs Laurel HS -battle for the little brown jug, is not even mentioned in the book. Pretty ghey.

West Jones and WC is a nasty rivalry. Them folks straight hate each other.

I consider myself pretty knowledgeable on sports figures and their history - especially southern boys - but I had not a 1% clue that Slash was from LA. Neeece.

Yeah, not surprised. The coach for WJ got thrown out, and was outside the gate with his headset still on

I played with Leigh Tiffin, no joke. He wasn't even the starter. He split time kicking in high school with a lefty, he was a soccer player who put 10 yards on every one of Leigh's kicks. But the last name has taken Leigh far. Also, Jason Allen went to my high school a few years before.

Its called head to head, it was on TV here in Mississippi during last season. I thought it was really good how it followed the teams and their players. The kid for West Jones who was paralyzed was a very inspirational story.

I bought that book, and I was VERY Surprised that Magee vs Mendenhall wasnt mentioned as well. Hattiesburg and Laurel should have been in there as well. I had a friend in college who played at Laurel and he always talked about the brown jug.

I cant believe the book had Oak Grove vs Meridian, They have only played like 8 times and are supposedly the biggest rivalry in the State???
