How about not getting your arse beat 21-0 with one of your best teams ever. NEVER would happen to Auburn vs Bama.

I feel like holding y'all to 10 points last year was a massive feat for us. I'm still not sure how we did that. Of course, this is Alabama-LSU and Saban plays that one conservative as all hell.

Every LSU-Alabama game in Baton Rouge since Saban arrived has been a fvckin war.

No, Auburn just has terrible teams lose to Alabama 49-0 and 36-0. Much better right?

Better than our best teams getting beat. When it's on the line, Auburn delivers against Bama. Can't say the same for you.

Since Saban arrived Auburn has gone 3-7 against Alabama with the following margins :

2007 : +7
2008 : -36
2009 : -5
2010 : +1
2011 : -28
2012 : -49
2013 : +6
2014 : -11
2015 : -16
2016 : -18

5 losses by more than 2 TDs, 3 losses by 4 TDs or more. Impressive.

When it's on the line for you. When it's on the line for us (SECCG, National Title on the line) we've won 8 of our 9 games against Auburn.

Auburn is 1-8 against Alabama teams that have a shot at a Championship since Saban arrived.

Squeaker/fluke Victories by Agurn, and beatdowns by the machine.

Auburn can basically only beat Alabama when Alabama has nothing to play for (2007, 2010) or on crazy fluke plays (2013).

When Alabama has something to play for they generally skull drag Auburn.

See, I can create fun narratives too.

So, what it comes down to then, is Alabama has something to play for a whole helluva lot more often than Auburn?

I can live with that.

well Auburn has never been in the same position with Alabama so I'm not sure what point of reference you're using for comparison. We played Alabama with everything on the line (we thought) in November that year and won, on the road. That would be a point of comparison. But given Auburn has never played Alabama for a national title, I don't know how you think Auburn has ever truly played Alabama with everything on the line, literally

Well, 2010 and 2013 come to mind. But I expect an LSU fan to not want remember too much about the past 7 years.

Bad Alabama teams also fight against better Auburn teams, even when they lose. They rarely get blown out.

Bad Auburn teams roll over and take it in rear.

Lot of fun narratives available here, I guess we've just never taken the time to hash them all out, what with the winning and all.

LSU beat Alabama in 2010 as well, but carry on

And LSU beat an Alabama team still playing for the SEC Title and National Title in 2010. LSU basically put a dagger in our season that day.

My edit didn't change the meaning of my post. It just clarified it because I knew you probably thought the 2010 and 2013 iron bowls had as much on the line as the national title game you referenced.

Quite the opposite. I said that I am happy that Bama wants to focus more on other teams. Just makes the chances of winning the IB easier.
