I was there.

LSU vs Georgia 2003 was better. The LSU win sparked the way to the National Championship.

1998 Florida game. I was there but was only 13 and couldn't really partake in the pandemonium that ensued.

Hammer #8 LSU on the road

Beating an 8 win team by 5 points is "hammering"?

LSU Florida 07.

I 've always wondered why this game is considered an end all be all for LSU fans. They've always made this win like it was against the 85 Bears. Florida wasn't number one and I believe LSU might have been favored or it was a close spread.
This Florida team lost 4? games that season. The week prior to this win Auburn had beaten Florida in the swamp and the game was a lot more dominant on Auburns part than the score indicated.
Also I believe this Florida team got RAILED by Michigan who had lost to App State.
Just never saw what the big deal was in beating a team you are supposed to beat.

With that said:
Penn State 1979
Auburn 1985
Auburn 2008

No matter what the rankings and records are, everyone gets up for the LSU/UF game annually.

This one was a red hot #1 LSU team vs #9 Florida team with Tebow, whom everyone already assumed would win the Heisman.

quote:

The 9th-ranked Gators traveled to Baton Rouge to take on the top-ranked Tigers. Early on, it appeared that Florida was heading for a big win when they raced out to a 10–0 lead. The two teams then traded punches, scoring two touchdowns each to make it 24–14 late in the third quarter.

LSU rallied behind Matt Flynn to score a touchdown to cut it to 24–21. Then they stopped Tebow and got the ball back with just a few minutes left. They faced a fourth and two in their own territory, and got it. Not even a minute later, they faced another fourth and two. They converted that one as well.

By now, they were on the Florida 12-yard line. Once again, the Tigers faced a fourth and 1. But rather than kick the game-tying field goal, Les Miles ordered a dive play. And for the fifth time in the game, the Tigers converted. Soon after, LSU took the lead when running back Jacob Hester bulled across the end zone with 1:09 left.

But Tebow had one more shot. In three plays, he'd gotten Florida across midfield. There was time for one more play—a 45-yard Hail Mary. It was batted down in the end zone and LSU hung on, 28–24.
-wiki

LSU went 5-5 on 4th down conversions to win the game. In the 2nd half they announced that Stanford had beaten USC and the stadium erupted (from both fan bases)

LSU's reaction to USC losing (LSU was #1 in the AP poll and USC was #1 in the Coaches)

Either the Stoernover, WIilhoit's Kick, or the 98 game against UF (my God that was wild and the celebration was out of this world).

A lot of good other games as well but I'm too sleepy to go there.

Greatest game ever played in the Swamp. Was the most intense game Ive ever been to.

Second..Bcs title game in 06. The OSU fans were so cocky..watching their tails crawl beneath their legs was an amazing day
