Andy Kennedy coaches Ole Miss. He literally has 25% of the NCAA tournament appearances in their program's history. He has 25% of their program's NCAA tournament wins too. He's doing fine.

^^^ agreed. Andy Kennedy has done more with less than anyone else in the SEC. Does he piss me off sometimes? Yes. But he is showing signs of improvement in recruiting and thanks to the new arena he actually has everything he needs to be successful. I think we return a pretty solid roster next year.

I think it's kind of a chicken or egg situation. Yes, Florida, LSU, Tenn, and GA had some great coaches, but those are program with great resources. I think coaching at those schools will make anyone look better because those schools are advantaged programs.

Andy Kennedy is a hell of a basketball coach. He is not the best recruiter but he routinely puts a good team out on the floor that plays hard. I miss the Ole Miss we could slap around in basketball. Ole miss might be able to do better than Andy Kennedy but they could definately do ALOT worse

Andy Kennedy may be the best specific talent evaluator to what he wants in a kid in the entire conference.

He's a very good basketball coach. What he has done at Ole Miss consistency wise is pretty amazing given their history.

Hell also you had Tubberville (although he was there right at the beginning of Saban), Petrino, and also Spurrier. There were some damn good coaches not long ago

Let's just go back to 2008

Alabama : Saban, Saban
Arkansas : Petrino to Bilema (downgrade)
Auburn : Tuberville to Malzahn (downgrade)
Florida : Meyer to McElwain (downgrade)
Georgia : Richt to Smart (TBD)
Kentucky : Brooks to Stoops (even/downgrade)
LSU : Miles to Orgeron (downgrade - especially 2008 Miles)
Ole Miss : Nutt to Freeze (I don't even know where to start there)
Mississippi St : Croom to Mullen (upgrade)
South Carolina : Spurrier to Muschamp (downgrade)
Tennessee : Fulmer to Butch (downgrade)
Vanderbilt : Bobby Johnson to Mason (even/upgrade) (Franklin better than both)

Ole Miss was 90 games under .500 when AK took the Ole Miss job. Tonight they have a chance to be over .500 for the first time since 1957. Since SEC expansion Ole Miss has the leagues 4th best record. Almost every team in the league has had some down years during the AK era but Ole Miss.

Don't forget until January of 2016 Andy Kennedy was recruiting to the worst Division One gym in America. I mean, the place literally had a game called for rain.

He hasn't had a true recruiting cycle with the new Pavilion (basketball recruiting is usually done earlier than spring of signing year). I believe he'll have a tournament team next year, which would be 3 out of the last 6.

I think the moral of this post is ... taxi drivers in SEC towns better watch their smart mouths for years to come.
