I like we scheduled USM, a little history there. WVU will challenge us, but the other two teams are a joke. One cupcake is ok but id like to see better OOC teams one our schedule.

TAMU's OOC is fricked mainly because of realignment/less-than-amicable big12 separation (i.e., our former conference mates are blackballed from playing us at the moment).

Yeah I know how hard it can be to schedule a marquee non big 12 opponent for a neutral site game the following year at reliant stadium and Lambeau field.

Its season three. The excuse is tired. Get it done.

What's pointless about this is that any decent SEC team that schedules any decent BCS team is pretty much on the same level, morally. I grant our schedule sucks no matter how well our opponents do over the course of the season, but there's really no significant difference in approach beteeen LSU, Bama, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, etc. They all scheduled teams that have had some pretty good years lately, and a bunch of teams that they should be able to beat sleepwalking. FSU, Wisky, WVU, OU, etc have all had very good seasons over the last decade, with mediocre ones mixed in. It's just the nature of the beast. And anyone trying to claim there's a meaningful difference between the Sam Houston States, Troys, Southern Misses, San Joses, Idahos, ODUs, SMUs, and so forth is just being silly. Switch any of them around and every single upper-division SEC team should win easily and barely notice the difference. Sorry, I don't care if your cupcake went 9-3 last year and my cupcake went 3-9...they're still both cupcakes.

FLorida at #5 is silly. FSU will be the toughest win for any SEC schedule

Punished a for a team that has been awesome the last decade or so falling off after we scheduled the game, but I am sure it will be mocked.

Let's whoa it up a bit here. They had spurts of "pretty damn decent", but never approached "awesome".

I'm not going to give Bama crap for it though, because it is still a big game and it was scheduled back when they still were putting respectable teams on the field.

Problem is, they are the only even remotely decent team on the schedule. Everyone else on that OOC schedule would be Georgia Southern's whipping boy.

Just saying.

Yeah, I bet FSU is one of the only OOC opponents of any top team in the league who will actually be favored to win the game.

As a casual viewer wanting more good games, I don't like all the cupcakes on a lot of schedules.

However, there's an argument to be made that a good team playing teams #1, #100, #110 and an FCS is much more likely to result in a loss than playing #50, #51, #60 and #61 even though the latter results in a much higher SOS.

It's the same thing as the basketball mid-majors who have incredible RPI numbers because they schedule their easy wins against teams with RPIs at 150 instead of 300.

Bama at least seems to try. They schedule a big name team most year, but that team seems to suck the year they play.

Tennessee/Vandy game was moved to that week. They say they might try and renew it later.

Like BamaDude said, the SEC (not Vanderbilt) decided to make the final week of the season "Rivalry Week" or something and screwed up our schedule (unlike some people, I won't bitch about SEC scheduling ) It's kind of weird, since UF plays FSU, UGA plays GT, and USCe plays Clemson to close out their respective seasons. There's a whole SEC/ACC rivalry at the end of November that the SEC just decided to yank Vandy, but no-one else, out of. While we have an in-state rivalry with Tennessee, it's hardly a particularly heated one like Bama/Auburn or, for that matter, Bama/Tennessee or Florida/Tennessee.

So, no, just don't get the change. Not sure what we're going to do in the future, but I imagine we can redo the series with WF once we both have to start setting new schedules (this series was just cancelled last summer, so we pretty much had few options for rescheduling in 2014.)
