LSU suspended him for 1 game.

Saban suspended Raekwon for 2 quarters.

Both handled internally.

But why wasn't Raekwon ejected for punching a player 3 times? I'm honestly curious. I haven't seen anyone explain that yet.

Yep. Just like when your player clothesline another player after the play is over, you let LSU handle the discipline internally.

Are you melting about 9-6 seven years ago? Tyran Mathieu?

Holy frick if that's true this is the pot calling the kettle black!

Tebow is right, wish he was playing next week. These rules are bullshite.

It's why you see so many players lost for the season with knee injuries these days.

Bama fans are in denial, but there is too much mounting evidence of SEC Offical & Scheduling bias.

You can obviously tell by the way he stood over him and looked down at him after the hit that he wasn't intentionally trying to drive his helmet into Fitzgerald's helmet

He is right about the penalty but not about changing the season.

Tebow is one of a kind. Every time I hear him speak, I want to save it for my kids to listen to as a role model.

This has nothing to do with the current situation. He's just a class individual all the way around. Florida was lucky to have him as a player and is lucky to have him now as a representative of their school.

Maybe tier 1 equals one half
Tier two is a whole game

No scheduling bias, but Alabama has not played UGA in the regular season since 2007? Seriously. How many times does Bama have to play Florida during the regular season, when was the last time? 1980s?

Even with conference additions of Aggies and Mizzou, the bias SEC office declared that Mizzou is an SEC East team. Do they not have a fricking map? Missouri is about as far west as you can get in the confernce. Why was this done, so Bama did not have to give up a regular game with a Tenn team and keep the Iron bowl.

GTFO with no bias argument when it comes to scheduling.

I hope they reform the targeting rule this offseason, I think everyone does. I'm not sure anybody likes it.

just in the mean time they could call the rule correctly and according to how it is written. It is easy for the ref on the field to make a mistake like that but no excuse for the review official in the booth. I think that is why this is getting all the national attention that it is getting. The fact that it wasn't over turned is the problem not so much the call on the field.

No, you don't all agree. A shite ton of Gumps are defending the call saying it was a dirty play and 100% targeting

yep they even have some in this thread who claim it was targeting per the way the rules is written which is just an absurd statement to make for anyone who actually watched the replay of the call. I think this is why the conspiracy theories have really picked up steam even on the national level

also it's the first time the national media has really taken a closer look at all the other timely bullshite calls that have seemed to go in only one directions

This is a level of stupid that just cannot be ignored.

Alabama played Georgia in Athens on 10/3/2015 and won 38-10
Alabama played Florida 9/29/2014 and won 42-21.

Since Saban arrived in Tuscaloosa, Bama has played UGA in the regular season as many times as LSU has played them.

Sort of besides the point, but why is the suspension divided out by halves and not by 30 game minutes from the time of the infraction? I agree the penalty was shite here, but why not enforce 30 minutes of game time from when the penalty occurred?

Why not just hire independent no biased refs and be done with it once and for all. As soon as it’s goes to 8 team playoff all this bullshite isn’t going to help you one bit
