A&M - 5.28
LSU - 5.33
I would have never believed it. Our defense is just slightly above average, but that's amazing given the fact that he inherited a defense that was just about the worst in the nation.

Vandy helped a lot with that stat you should thank them

Chavis is way better than Steele, this is a known fact.

A&M has a more talented defense this year. Never thought I'd say it. A&M DL > LSU DL by a mile

Congrats on being 0.05 better at yards per play

I'm assuming you didn't take any Math courses in your life if your boasting about this stat in football terms.

What you should do is stats they each have against common opponents. Not trolling either side -- I literally have no idea what the result would be.

Aggy held Vandy to their lowest offensive output all season! My t-shirt is in the mail!

Wow
White was healthy, Jalen Collins was on the team, Jalen Mills was healthy, and Ronald Martin was on the team with Jamal Adams in the nickel. We also had Kwon Alexander.
This year the defense has fallen apart in front of our eyes. Lack of experience and talent coupled with the implementation of new schemes has hurt. The worst part is that Steele has simplified it as much as he can without fully reverting to what Chavis did.
The same guys that LSU shutdown Ole Miss, Alabama, and A&M with last year are pretty much gone. Tre'Davious is a shell of his former self after his injury as well.
The defense has fallen apart every year since 2012 and it's no surprise that it's reached this point.

You used every excuse in the book and the answer is staring you right in the face.
John Chavis > Kevin Steele.

About what we expected. If we can beat LSU, the season will have exceeded everyone's expectations. We have loads of talent back next year, along with a new OC. It's all very promising!

Excuse? How about a valid reason for LSU sucking on defense the past few years? Go jack off to your moral victory somewhere else.
eta:
Stats don't tell the whole story, bitch.

Congrats but I have a dumpster fire to monitor at the moment.

Lol. Yes, excuses.
You should be familiar with them by now because you use them in almost every post that someone tries to talk sense to you in.
Like the excuse that Chavis made your offense bad, and he's gone and now they're bad for some other reason.
Or the excuse that you guys don't have talent on defense when any of your LB's would start at A&M, almost your entire secondary, and maybe one DT.
Or the excuse that Kevin Steele's schemes are 'too complex', and not just god awful.
Or the excuse that any stat proving your side of the argument to be wrong is somehow irrelevant or not indicative of the whole story.
awful

Well, to be fair, Aggy told us all they needed was a top 50 defense and here we are with identical records.
