Haha definitely not what actually happened but I like that story more.

Impressive kid, actually got up and comforted the girl who hit him in the crosswalk cause she was so upset about it.

I know what really happened (wearing a dark hoodie and head phones in a cross walk, driver didn't see him and he didn't hear or see the car coming) but I like your story better

No defense necessary. Dude was chasing a Gila Monster. Was not paying attention to traffic (understandably), and got hit by a car.

The car was destroyed, but Maten saved the driver from the enraged Gila Monster.
