Thats a lot of money for a chance to do at best 4-4 in conference every year.

I was told by some queer Aggie fan that A&M was worth more to the SEC than Auburn.

Overall, they may be.

-Much larger student body and alumni base
-Largest endowment in the SEC
-Better academically
-Brings in a much larger market
-Better basketball
-Better baseball
-Better at pretty much anything in athletics as opposed to football, with a chance to change that as well

So A&M got 2 million from the renegotiated Fox Sports contract they never even participated in?? That's a lawyering win right there.

Chip Brown spinning that as a 14 million buyout because A&M forfeited 2 million for something they didn't even participate in is hilarious.

In Texas we call that "Chump Change". We would have paid twice that amount.

Thanks for taking us in.

You won't have to worry about paying the officials when you play Bama. They take care of that.

Zing! I LOL'd

I wonder if any of the remaining members of the Big XII will look at the low cost of aTm's & Mizzou's buyout and either leverage that to quit being UT's whipping boy within the conference or bail on the Big XII altogether.

I think the remaining members signed over their tv rights to the conference for an extended period of time. Also, the only commercially viable programs would be Texas and OU and the PAC-12 already went through publically denying Oklahoma.

Too bad. Would be funny if the entire rest of the conference took their balls and went home and left UT standing alone.

the remaining members have de facto signed over their lives in the Blood In, Blood Out agreement.

Shhhh. We have to let them believe that we will never beat them, and that the only impact we will ever have is deliver them more money, and a few Texas recruits now and then. When we do start kicking their arse(immediately), they will still be distracted by being Bama's whipping post, but let's not cause a stir in the process.

You think the Faggies are going to come to JHS and win. It is to laugh. You figs went 6-6 in the Big 12 last year. Have fun going 5-7 next season.

Perma-ban bet that AU wins against the Faggies. (shite just got e-serious)

Aggies struggled there, don't they?

Could that have something to do with this?

We might not beat Auburn this year....but let's see how this series goes moving forward.....we are just like Mississippi State...no worries.

Also 9.31 million is a GREAT low number. Now we should start moving along faster on plans for Kyle Field....probably will end by spending at least 150 Million on the Stadium and maybe up to 300 Million.

Maybe not, but C-Mike, Joeckel/Matthews, Swope, Sean Porter, DeMontre, and a healthy Stephen Campbell are better than anything they have to offer. And I have a sneaking suspicion the same could be said for one or two of our incoming freshman, but I don't like claiming inexperience is better than experience. There are some holes to fill, and I don't have faith in Kliff's offense... but it is Auburn. Auburn. Nothing about them strikes fear in me.

If you dont think losing 32 playerd from the year before had any effect on that game, then you are retarded. Experience counts for a lot in college football. AU field a team full of freshmen and sophomores last season and still won 8 games.

On that same list... Utah State was 81st in the country in returning starters, and the game was in Auburn.

Obviously it has a miniscule effect, but the overwhelming reason you struggled is because you're Auburn. You're just a bad program.
