The talent difference is significant, ND simply does not have the speed or size of Bama and UGA.

They have talent but not two teams full of Bama-level talent. That is what you need to beat them right now, unless you have one awesome player like JFF or things just go your way.

Murray > McCar-Cry and while we are at it

Gurley > Bamas whole backfield.

I also think they would beat LSU. Prior to Friday, I didn't necessarily believe this.

Yeah, because lSU's performance Friday was indicative of our play if we were to match up with Notre Dame in a bowl.

If you told our players we were going to play ND in BCS bowl outside of NOLA, then it'd be a fantastic game. They could win, yes, but I'd like our chances.

Scoring Defenses:
Navy – 38
(50-10)

Purdue – 73
(20-17)

Michigan St – 10
(20-3)

Michigan – 20
(13-6)

Miami (FL) – 82
(41-3)

Stanford – 11
(20-13 OT)

BYU – 6
(17-14)

Oklahoma – 48
(30-13)

Pittsburgh – 23
(29-26 OT)

Boston College – 74
(21-6)

Wake Forest – 91
(38-0)

USC – 46
(22-13)

So, Alabama has the #1 scoring defense. The best scoring defense ND faced was BYU? If Bama holds ND to 17 points do you think Bama wins?

Also, look at that Michigan score.

Bama/UGA would win..but i don't know if they would "blow them out"..ND's Defense is pretty solid

AJ is literally right behind him. They have also had a lot more closer games where they passed a whole lot more than us. I would take AJ over Murray any day.

Murray has been a better passer since 2010. McCarron does well / better with game pressure and management but Murray is legit..

They could beat Bama pretty easy.. Bama just isn't that good, they got there shite pushed in against LSU and A&M, just got lucky in one of them.

Uga however could beat ND, but will be a good one. UGA should have no problem beating Bama this weekend, in fact it's going to be a one sided game that we haven't seen in awhile.

I agree with you. It's their offense that would be the problem and both Bama and UGA have good enough scoring defense to shut them down.

This team went into Norman, OK and soundly beat a very good OK sooner

OU pretty one dimensional team. Bigger issue is that OU has morphed into a finesse team over the last few years both offensively and defensively. OU offense not in same class as Bama or Georgia from a physical standpoint. Defensively the drop off from Bama/Georgia to OU is enormous.

A team like ND can beat a finesse team like OU. USC and OU are perfect examples of finesse teams that had a hard time scoring against ND.

Just don't see how ND can score enough points to win. Bottom line is Notre Dame's offense really sucks. Don't care how good the D is, if you leave them on the field too long against physical offenses that can run with power and also throw the ball, the D will give up points.

My score is Bama or Georgia by around 17. Not sure ND does more than kick a few field goals.

Yes. I think bama or uga wins against ND. I just do not think it will be a blowout. 7 point win or there about.
