Probably not but every year somebody grows up in a hurry and everyone who laughed at the notion in the preseason looks silly.

I would guess 9-3 or 8-4, but who knows

I agree with you there. Most realistic ut fans (including me) are in the 8-9 wins range expectation. But nothing's completely out of reach. A few bounces go our way (something we haven't seen in 5-6 years), and we could see something special next year b

I think it is interesting that we all (humans) seem to like to assume thing will improve or decline at a gradual pace. Everytime a program that hits bottom has a decent year, then a decent recruiting class we all assume that they will win 8 next year, then 10 or so, then be "back".

Does it ever actually happen like that? I feel like all of a sudden a team breaks through (2006 Florida, 2008 Alabama) or they just never break out. It doesn't seem like the slow and steady climb happens all that often, at least not any more often than the other.
