I remember last year when Bama came to the Swamp, I had birds eye view of the playing field...around 45 yd line 6 rows up...had 12 yr old step son with me and I pointed out that the Bama OL looked like human vending machines on legs. Thats why Bama has been able to run the ball and break everyone down.
Well....UF has a new S&C guy and it has made a big difference...plus we return so many of the 2 deep from last year. Boom is installing toughness that slipped away when we had the spread offense under Meyer...Chizik sees the handwriting on the wall and is now going to a pro style offense, but has spread qb operating it...much like Meyer had Chris Leak his first year as qb trying to fit roung peg in square hole...Leak didnt like contact and was a dropback thrower...the next year saw Timmy Tebow on campus who came in on short yardage. The spread is great as long as you have Newtons and Tebows to run it....not so good otherwise.
