Schools lose kids every offseason because they want to play football, not sit on the bench and watch for 4 years.

I'm not surprised that the sarcasm went right over the Auburn idiot's head, but I'd have figured an Ole Miss guy would have caught it...must be one of those sidewalk fans.

According to Ross Dellenger of Baton Rouge's The Advocate, a LSU spokesperson confirmed that four players—offensive lineman Derek Edinburgh Jr., linebacker Lorenzo Phillips and defensive backs Jerqwinick Sandolph and Derrick Raymond—have decided to leave the Tigers football program for unrelated reasons.

I don't even know who those guys are.

Thanks. That's the point I was driving at.

All but Sandolph were 4-star recruits coming out of high school,

This is why my recruiting excitement is always tempered. To go from hot shot recruit to signing LOI, making the academic grade, staying out of trouble, earning a spot, actually producing on the field....a long road.

So why try and troll LSU fans over it? It's kind of sad, actually.

A bunch of guys who, if they had scholarships, wouldn't have them anymore next season.

So... happy trails, fellas

Gotta love all the LSU fans acting like these transfers are not odd and these guys don't matter.

Phillips: 2nd string OLB

Sandolph: 2nd string Safety

Edinburgh: 3rd string OT

Raymond: 3rd string CB

Maybe on paper but the fact that he hardly saw any PT this year says different.

Sandolph: 2nd string Safety

Wrong. Was passed up by Ricky Jefferson at the end of the year.

Edinburgh: 3rd string OT

Was passed up by younger players. Makes sense to transfer.

Raymond: 3rd string CB

Same as above. Robinson and White are both ahead of him on the depth chart and were FR.

Phillips is only leaving for academic reasons. We start two freshmen corners and have a huge secondary class with the #1 overall recruit (a cornerback) signed for 2015, so Raymond won't play. Edinburgh and sandolph were both projects and weren't going to play. I'll give you a little credit regarding some juniors leaving that shouldn't have, but this attrition like any other school

Biggest head scratcher of the bunch, but he would've been bumped after CG showed up.

No.

quote:

Edinburgh: 3rd string OT

He contributed... on the scout team.

quote:

Raymond: 3rd string CB

See above.

What's wrong with a medical hardship? A kid has his education paid by the university if he wants to finish, or he can transfer if he wants to.WTF?

Kills depth though.

Returning you guys have a grand total of 3 safeties.

3 OLB's.
