It was relevant to the dumb idea that Sims is getting a start for being a good boy because Saban cares. He's a football coach at a school with incredible expectations. This is a business, and while Bama will beat WVU, they aren't a FCS school.

Wait. What? WVU is two years removed from an Orange Bowl win.

That was my point. Bama is gonna have to take WVU seriously to win, they aren't starting their 2nd best QB.

I respect what Blake Sims has been and done for the University of Alabama. He should be given his chance

I like how the excuse for Coker is " oh well the team loves sims and would rather lose with him than win with an actual qb like Coker because the live sims so much"

Not a single person is saying that. Coker has to earn the job during games. I think Coker eventually starts, probably by the Florida game. IF Coker is better (we don't know, we have to see both play with this team) then the team will see that and accept it. But if he just shows up, has like 25 practices, and then gets the job, it'd piss a lot of people on the team off.

No one is saying he isn't good, but no one here is saying he's as good as you all think we think he is.

You should have spent more time doing your research.

Had you done so, you would have learned that Blake Sims was a high school quarterback that briefly converted to running back before reverting back to his high school position.

He hasn't beaten anyone. Sims was always going to start the opener.

Nobody moves the goal post quite like your bunch.

It's truly impressive how quickly the line shifts for them.

This is hilarious... as I argue with my fellow Bama fans on other sites about this issue it's amazing how much their narrative has changed. Sims has done a great job developing and worked hard to stay ahead of the competition. Coker is talented but he has some deficiencies. He is not nearly the QB he was being hyped to be. Blake Sims will be a very good QB.

I assume he's laughing at the OP, who claimed his research revealed that Sims was a converted RB and yet somehow managed to miss that (a) Sims was a QB in high school and (b) at Alabama he played running back in a whopping 5 games as a redshirt freshman but has played in 18 games over the last two seasons at QB.

Sims maybe a good QB and Coker may overtake him at some point. My guess is they both will play. WVU was not good last year and nobody is predicting them to do anything in Big 12 this year, Bama wins this no question and whether either QB turns out good, bad, or meh, it will only effect them in maybe 4 games 5 at the most on that schedule. So they have some time to figure it out for better or worse. I dont see this as a big deal

However, most of their fans acting like this was their original feelings when Coker arrived are not being truthful.
